The GRE's weren't fun - except for the (old) Analytical Reasoning section which apparently has been replaced with a Writing section since I took it. ...but I didn't mind the MAT too much - at least it was interesting and broad
I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! lol Whaddaya want me to do? Whack a guy? Off a guy? Whack off a guy? --Peter Griffin My DVDs | Facebook | Godfather Filming Locations

Between my wife, work, business school and of course fantasy sports ( ), I wanted to make sure I had no time to sleep. No kidding! And I look just a bit more down the page to see you've posted the standings...do you ever rest? I admire your ambition - just remember to take some "CS Time." --- Figures that you would work the word "broad" into a post. What's next? Dame?? SB, that was coming from the GBB's number one cootie source - what do you expect with a guy like him?

Congrats BL! That's a great non-DH score! What does non-DH mean? Did someone ask that already? Or am I having deja vu? Either way I don't know what it means.

Speaking of double headers.... Only KL & BL missed this one, but I'm way too tired to post who's got whom right now... 'night!

I was once third, but I've fallen and can't get up. I was once 2nd, so quit your bitching. j/k. Besides, you could have at least warned us with a [whine alert].

Is anyone else having a hard time fielding a team under the 40.0 salary cap? Maybe that's your problem... the salary cap is 50.0

I'm going to take a day or two off work so I can concentrate on this game. That's the spirit. Is anyone else having a hard time fielding a team under the 40.0 salary cap? I know you're joking, but it reminds me of the time that we were playing salary cap basketball. Actually, I wasn't playing but I was a lurker. Anyway, I remember that Plaw was upset at the salary values for the basketball players - he thought that the players were too cheap and that it was too easy to field an all-star team. It made him so upset that he decided to join a 2nd league that had a self-governed added rule that the salary cap be cut in half - from 100.0 to 50.0.

Ten Things I Think I Think (ala Peter King)1 - It's been kind of a strange fantasy baseball season thus far. JL is missing a lot of days. TM hasn't missed any. JG refuses to stay in the chick sandwich. 2 - I have pitching available in Yahoo baseball, if anyone is interested. 3 - The next time a college basketball coach is up in arms about losing a recruit, he need only look at the Billy Donovan episode to figure out that he should keep quiet. While players are usually vilified for turning their backs on letters of intent, coaches are generally lauded when they move on to better opportunities. I am not against someone trying to better his situation - it's the hypocrisy that bugs me. 4 - I'm preparing my essays for my business school apps. Some of the questions are pretty standard (e.g. what are your long-term goals and why this school?) while some of the questions are interesting (e.g. what is the number one threat to humanity?). It'll be tough to answer the humanity question in fewer than 500 words. 5 - When I'm done with b-school apps, I'm jumping into Seasons 3+ of "24" and no one is going to stop me. 6 - Where's Zia been hiding? Is she still distraught over potentially losing Kobe? 7 - Please - no more rainouts for the rest of the season. 8 - You guys have any thoughts to the humanity question? My initial inclination would be to write about the environmental consequences of the industrial revolution in China. Or I could write about Paris Hilton. Whichever. 9 - I'm looking forward to the NBA Finals for the first time in a while. Mainly, I want to see how LeBron will do on the big stage. 10 - Here's a riddle for all of you (oldie, but a goodie): You come to a fork in the road where there are two guards standing. There are two roads you can take - one way provides safe passage while the other is populated with bandits. One of the guards always tells the truth, while the other always lies, but you don't know who does what. You are only allowed to ask one question to figure out which is the safe road. What is the one question?
