Thanks. I just watched the Dons' meeting and as the camera pans from right to left past Tattaglia there is the elderly guy. Just as he comes in the frame Vito thanks Victor Stracci at which time the camera then points across the table to the Don sitting next to Zalucci. So, it is confusing. The elderly guy is obviously a Don, but he is never identified with any family. So, since all the NY dons are accounted for, maybe he's head of the NJ or Philly families.

As far as the elevator shots are concerned, keep in mind that Clemenza is firing a shotgun at close range in quite a confined area. It is not likely that anyone inside survived. The better question is how did Clemenza know that Stracci was in the elevator since Clemenza was running up the steps at the time.
