The problem with the Internet Movie Database is that sometimes they are unreliable - though they now make more of an effort to verify deaths than they did in the past.
I had submitted the information about Ms. Stefanelli to them (I'm sure there were others), and I added a warning to my submission that they try to find more verifiable websites than the three I knew about (Wikipedia, E-insiders, Find-A-Grave). If there are any more websites with more reliable information, IMDb did not share their sources. Many times, on a person's IMDb page, you will be able to click on the "News Articles" link on the left side of the page and there will be recent articles (including published obituaries) on that person. Nothing along those lines about Ms. Stefanelli.
Other people from the Boards have told me that they have done Web searches for anything at all about her death in Italian-language news sites, etc., and have come up empty-handed.
Strange, isn't it?
All I am still saying is that it is rather unusual that there has been nothing about her death from any reputable news agencies, either domestic or international. Considering that she was a well-known actress, this is very odd.

"It was a grass harp... And we listened."
"Do any human beings ever realize life while they live it? Every, every minute?"
"No. Saints and poets, maybe... they do some."

Signor V. Was she a well known actree in Italy and Europe? I mean other than the Godfather did she do anything else here in the states? Perhaps her (alleged) death just wasn't news worth with some media????
