I concur. I'm trying to buy as much standard DVDs as I can now. Blue-Ray's are too far behind right now because so many DVD titles aren't even released on standard DVD yet and Blu-Ray only has so many titles as of now.

Also newly announced for DVD release by Fox are a Commando: Director's Cut (includes both the original theatrical version and a new 5-minute longer cut via seamless branching, along with director's commentary, deleted scenes, the Let Off Some Steam and Pure Action featurettes and photo galleries)

Yeah, I always wanted Mark Lester to explain himself for the infamously goofy mistakes in COMMANDO.

I guess the legendary "Arm" scene is back in the movie then.

I don't think Blu-Ray(forget the "e", Irish) is serious enough yet to replace DVD. However, B-R laying the fucking smackdown on HD-DVD in sales lately, among other points that digitalbits.com expertly discussed, so it may be a complimental home entertainment system until B-R or its technological descendents take the crown from DVD.

I assume you mean the "Pants Tent?" What did you think? Some great episodes from Season 1 are "Beloved Aunt," "Porno Gil," and "AAMCO."

I wasn't overly impressed, but again, it was only the first episode. I was told to continue to watch it as the show gets better further along

Me too. I was waiting to buy it and I'm glad I held out. I'm surprised I haven't heard anything about it yet with it coming out in 2 months. I luckily stumbled onto it searching for Martin Scorsese on Amazon

You know, I had a friend too that gave me "free" stuff too. Of course he blatantly stole them from the local GAMESTOP and BLOCKBUSTER stores, but...they were free....technically.

Whatever works I guess. No my friend just bought a PS3 and is going to get all of his movies in Blu-Ray. As they say, one man's trash is another man's treasure.

Huh?

Why you saying his movies of that time are trash?*

A better example is Sly Stallone's bullshit trash of that decade.

*=Hell, the only bad Arnie movies of that decade were what? CONAN THE DESTROYER, RED HEAT, RAW DEAL?

While Stallone did RAMBO 2 and 3, ROCKY 3 through 4, OVER THE TOP, TANGO & CASH, bloody COBRA, you name it.

Try to use better examples next time, grasshopper.

I wouldn't say TRUE LIES is a classic (hell, its James Cameron's least satisfying movie) but its obvious that Arnold had fun, Cameron had fun, everyone had fun.

The problem is, does the audience have as much fun as they did? Thats the OCEAN'S 12 Scenario, where the filmmakers have so much "fun" shooting, they forget to make the damn movie.

But yeah, I enjoyed TRUE LIES. Bill Paxton was the bomb, yo!

I'm sure it will happen Irish, its just Cameron is too busy with that $250-300 million AVATAR. It happens. Cut him some slack.

WHAT? Wow, must have been when you didn't have the internet, and still lived in that cave of yours.

James Cameron announced he was going to direct SPIDER-MAN after the phenominal box-office of TERMINATOR 2 in 1991. It was expected for 1993/1994.

But then the snag came with the rights issues with MGM, SONY, and bankrupted Carolco. Cameron made TRUE LIES for 1994 while the rights issues were worked out.

By 1996 when Cameron shot TITANIC, they weren't cleared up. Afterwards, he washed his hands of it by the the late 1990s.

He wrote a treatment you can find on the internet.

Raw Deal was a Dino DeLaurentiis production. I liked the movie.
