At one time BEATLEMANIA, a New York City broadway play, was one of the hottest shows in town. But other than that I don't know of any other tours or shows that pay tribute to the Beatles here in the states. There are actually quite a few Beatles tribute bands, I've seen a few of them... Rain: The Beatles Experience (they'll be in Liverpool in August) BeatlemagicThe Mahoney Brothers1964 The Tribute...and many more ... all over the world... Cirque du Soleil's new show, LOVE, is a Beatles tribute playing in Las Vegas

You'd never know it was The Dakota except for the tourists all getting their pictures taken in front of it. Present company included. You have a picture of yourself in front of The Dakota? Lets see it!! I don't have it on my computer anymore.

Fan-fucking-tastic. I LOVE living by myself. Everyone's always like "Well, yeah.. but don't you get lonely?" Nope! My friends attending Albany University all got together to rent out the top three floors of an apartment building. It's rather cool. Three floors to themselves.

Aw come on Miss Bogey, dont ya miss having a big strong man around? When did I ever have one of those?? I wish! My roomie was short, fat, and weak. Weak and stupid. Like Fredo. Haha. She was kind of man-ish though, I suppose.. SC - Personally, I think what she needed was a diet change. Nobody goes through as much toilet paper as that girl. ElElSee, that probably would be the coolest thing ever. I doubt I have enough money/friends to do that, but it'd be pretty nifty.

Yup, that's the consensus. My niece and her girlfriends just HAVE TO live in Manhattan (can't blame them). Anyway, it's 3 college aged girls in a tiny one bedroom in Yorkville (83rd and York Avenue) and they're paying $2700 a month. The sick part, it's called a RENT CONTROL building!

Yeah, there is a shitload of them involved. About two people to an individual apartment. They basically just relocated the entire dorm, minus the people they didn't like. It's a very bizarre school. Last year, these guys formed a "Pirates Club" and got the school to officially recognize it as a club. They pillaged the dining hall, and spent about three days floating around out front in the fountain, in a tiny boat they made of wood and cardboard.

I think running out of toilet paper is more of a guy thing no??? Anyway, I can't explain exactly why, but I really like living alone. My daughters were no problem when they were home, and I never felt confined (other than the motherly responsibilities of dropping off/picking up/checking homework, etc) or anything like that. Now, that they are both grown/married and on their own (for the last four years), I've felt a new sense of freedom. It's not that I'm out partying or doing wild & crazy things...it's just the idea that I could if I wanted to. I can do whatever I want to do and not answer to anyone. I can pick up and go without a second thought. Like I tell the ladies at work, if I felt like cleaning the house naked I could. Because....I can do whatever the hell I wanna do. Maybe because I went from living at home, to married with kids, to divorced with kids...and now to alone. I've never lived on my own before. I don't know, but instead of dwelling on being alone, I'm enjoying being on my own. TIS

If I pillaged the Stalnaker Dining Hall last year, I probably would have been expelled. Pb, $2700??? Holy shit! I'm barely making my $385/month.

Well, it's it's still Maryland. All the crabs you can eat. I think in this neighborhood you'll be licking your lips from a different kind of crab you'll be catching. Here's one even higher. This location is nothing special at all. In fact, I grew up not too much further from this area. Back then it was lower income. Now you'll spend $2500 a month, just because you're in walking distance from looking at the polluted Inner Harbor. http://www.apartments.com/partner/avsumm...&p=baltimoresun

Yeah, it's insanity Bogey. Especially when you can get a one bedroom in lower Westchester County for half that. It's a 22 minute train ride to Grand Central and the crime rate is much lower. But then you can't tell people you live in Manhattan.

Here I am complaining about paying $1100 for a 2-bedroom... Ok, I best not even say what my mortgage is. And I have a 3 bedroom house. The quality of life really is cheap in Baltimore. But then again, there's nothing here to see.

That ain't bad.... I'm paying $1,000 for a ONE bedroom. I'm just glad I brought my house 9 years ago. I couldn't afford to rent a closet at the prices these days.

We're about a 30-40 minute drive to midtown, and a 1 bedroom goes for $1200. And that's not exactly in a luxury complex!
My brother was living in Battery Park, and paying $3,000 for a 1 bedroom. Granted, you could sit on his living-room couch and see the Statue of Liberty from the window, but $3,000?? And he only had a work kitchen, a living room with a dining "area" (translation - room for a table and 4 chairs) and a bedroom that was so small that he had to buy a new bedroom set because their old furniture didn't fit! After living for 20 years in a McMansion in Westchester, I don't know how he and his wife didn't kill one another in that tiny space.
