At my gym every month they post the lady who lost the most weight/and measurements in that month span. This month this woman lost 21 1/2 pounds and 15 inches. WTF!!! Did she give birth and not tell anyone? How the hell do you lose 21 1/2 pounds in a month? I lost 1 1/2 pounds and 2.5 inches and I was happy..haha. Of course, one of the inches I lost was around my chest. Rotten sons of bitches.

Maybe she had a really, really bad stomach virus, and she only lost water, and it will all come back the minute she takes a sip. Or, she started at 600 pounds, so she's bound to lose rapidly, and the 21 1/2 pounds is NOTHING.

Any of that make you feel better?

A little better. That 1 1/2 pounds I lost doesn't make me feel better either considering what I started at.

This is what I was told - muscle weighs more than fat, so when you start working out, you might even GAIN weight.

Personally, I think it's an urban legend started by personal trainers, but if it makes you feel better, what the heck?

They won't because he had his face covered with a bandana. There were 3 of them, so I hope all 3 of them enjoyed the $4.00 they got.

Yesterday was my last day as a counselor at the summer camp I was working at.

As much as some of those kids got on my nerves, I know I'll miss a lot of them. And one of my favorites was not there for the last day, so I didn't even get to say goodbye. I thought I could be tough about it, but as each one was picked up, I ended up getting emotional. I'm such a wuss!

Today, completely overshadowing Bonds' 755 and A-Rod's 500, Carlos Lee had a unique "home run" in which he hit a double, making it to the base as the ball was thrown past him - from there, he took off to third and slid into the bag, only to see another bad throw to that base, so he ran home, thoroughly exhausted, barely making it to the dugout to plop on the bench. Two errors allowed him to score, and that 240-lb. ballplayer was worn out from all the effort required. The camera showed Orlando Palmeiro, his teammate, fanning him off with a towel once he made it to the dugout, and later in the game, they showed a slow-motion replay of him running home, with this huge smile on his face. They referred to it as a Little League moment. It was hilarious.

So, that's where you've been hiding at Gina. I was wondering where you've been. Was this band camp? \:\)

SB, did you see this pic of Jeter and Mr. Posh?

That's David Beckham, the soccer star. He's married to Victoria Beckham, who was "Posh" Spice in the Spice girls.

No, I've broken ties with band, thankfully!

It was just a summer camp for kids - I needed a job, so I was able to work there as a counselor, watching over them throughout the day. It was a really good experience.

Gina, can't believe camp is over already. My daughter still has until next week. And she can't wait!!!

I didn't see that photo, Beth. Doesn't Jeter have great arms???

I hear that Beckham is injured and isn't playing. The headline in my local paper said, "Bench it like Beckham!"

SB, is your daughter thoroughly exhausted from it? I was! Those kids wore me out. Hope things go well as she finishes up. Will she have some "freedom" before school starts again? And it'll be her big senior year, right? \:\)

We just completed a sweep of the Scrubs! I got to go to tonight's game with my brother and two cousins. Though we arrived early, we did not get the free Hunter Pence t-shirts they were giving away. \:\/

But I did get something almost as good...

An accident, I swear! He was picking up something a fan had thrown to him to autograph, and I just happened to capture the moment with my camera.

What a happy accident, Gina!!!

No t-shirts?? That stinks!!

My daughter is so completely and totally exhausted. We've had temps in the 90's, and the humidity has been even higher. She can barely walk when she comes in the door.

She finishes camp on the 17th, and doesn't start school until September 5th, so she'll have a few weeks to relax before the big year.

Your daughter graduates next year SB? That's gonna be a very emotional day. I saw Nicole walking down the aisle and still pictured her in diapers dragging her teddy bear.

Maybe next weekend you can bring the picture of the "Sweet 16" birthday cake I never saw...haha.

I've decided that she's going to say 12 forever, at least in my mind.

Tomorrow is Beach Night at the ballpark, and a girl I knew from Band got together a big group and organized everything so we could go to the game together. I'm considering wearing one of my dad's Hawaiian shirts. There's supposed to be a reggae band there, too. I'd actually like to see the TV broadcast because I'm certain our announcers are going to be in some crazy clothing.

SB, is the camp completely outdoors? Or most of the time? We were lucky to have classrooms where we could have the kids for a lot of the day - they were outside for the playground and field trips, though, and it was always so HOT. And this summer was especially rainy, it seemed. We missed probably about three or four Friday swimming trips because of rain.

Have you been keeping up with 'The Bronx is Burning'? I'm really enjoying it.

I have not been watching The Bronx is Burning. I think that Turturro's ears were too distracting for me. I know that seems like a stupid reason, but there it is.

Yes, the camp is completely outdoors. And it's been miserable. The good news is that she lost 13 lbs.

Beach day?? How cool is that?? Sounds like fun, Gina. Can't wait to see the pics.

Edit: Btw, what is a yukky BOY doing in here? Don't you have your own thread? Oh, that's right it DIED.

A tough loss took away from the fun spirit of Beach Night, unfortunately. I didn't get very good photos, either, but here are two:

Ben Sheets and Chris Capuano of the Brewers

Capuano was chatting it up with one of the women standing right at the outfield wall where we were, near the bullpen. He just walked up and started talking, but I was too far away to eavesdrop. Then later, he caught a ball hit during batting practice, and tossed it up to the same girl. Oh sure, nobody offers a baseball to the girl foolish enough to come in a Hawaiian shirt. \:\/ I get no respect!!

My favorite Beach Boy...

This is why I love Carlos Lee:

It's not a great video - I taped it off the replay - but it's hilarious. He has one of the best personalities I've seen in a player, and such a good sense of humor.
