SB, you are so right about that commercial. Do the Mojito! I have several commercials that I just hate, which appear during Astros broadcasts. Meaning that I see them a LOT. There's one car commercial with the guy yelling at us about how he's lowering prices, and everytime it airs, my dad declares he will never buy a car from him. I always find it funny that he considers himself such a major influence on this guy's business. I do like the jingle about Chevrolet and baseball... We love baseball, hot dogs, apple pie and Chevrolet. Stolen bases, goat cheese pizza, bottled water and Chevrolet. Free agents, rally monkeys, fantasy leagues and Chevrolet. They go together in the good ol' USA, Face paint, satellite radio, ____???____ and Chevrolet. Yes, I sometimes sing along. And it bothers me that I don't know that one part in the last line.

I think perhaps a few BBers need to be committed. Then again, it's kind of fun having our own little Cookoo's Nest. TIS I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell.

Face paint, satellite radio, ____???____ and Chevrolet. According to this: "face painters, satellite radio, endorsement deals and Chevrolet." Okay, now do you forgive me for picking against the 'stros today?
I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! lol Whaddaya want me to do? Whack a guy? Off a guy? Whack off a guy? --Peter Griffin My DVDs | Facebook | Godfather Filming Locations

It's 106 degrees outside here. Is that the regular temperature or the heat index?? I saw (on the news) that it was 99° where Geoff lives... its in the mid 80's here but if you go a few miles north (away from the ocean) its in the mid 90's... I haven't left my bedroom yet (only place I have a/c).... OzzieBoy too.

According to this: "face painters, satellite radio, endorsement deals and Chevrolet." Okay, now do you forgive me for picking against the 'stros today? Of course! (So you admit it was your fault?? haha) Wow, really, thanks! Everytime I hear it, I try to figure out that line...now I finally know! And that was a good page. It reminded me of the other versions (or extra verses?) I sometimes hear.

All the local tv networks interrupted their regular programming to report on the Con Ed problem. Its not certain but they suspect that a thunderstorm that went over Westchester County (just north of the City) MAY have affected the system. The subway signal lights have to be re-set (and properly timed) but as of now all electricity has been restored. About a half million people were affected.
Was the amount of people affected just from who would have taken the subway, or did people lose electricity to their homes? I do not even want to be in a situation in this oppressive heat and not have any a/c. That could be lethal.

Can you imagine the people waiting for the subway in the heat and humidity??? Damn, talk about hundreds of bitchy people gathered in one area. I'll bet everyone was "snippy." Glad it's resolved though. We have outages out here from time to time during the summer, and it's many times due to everyone using their air conditioners. TIS PS, Let's hope PB wasn't out there today. I'm sure he'd hate two days in a row of sticky drawers.

Was the amount of people affected just from who would have taken the subway, or did people lose electricity to their homes? The estimated 500,000 people were those who lost their electricity. The news is reporting anywhere from 75,000 - 100,000 customers were affected and apparently that translates to half a million people. Apparently most of the east side of Manhattan were out as well as a portion of the Bronx.
