Congrats to TM. 54 is a new record I believe for a SP. It's getting on the ridiculous side now for my team. Polanco got hurt tonight, so I may have 7 guys on the DL.

I'm not going to be in 2nd long if I have to continue to play most of my bench players on a regular basis.

Tell me about it... I keep benching all my points. \:\/

But at this point, as much as I like DB, he needs to start having some bad luck. So, I must now call upon Luca Brasi......

yeah I guess it is. Leo Mazzilli called it a "two hit perfect game" and I agree with him. the guy only allowed one single in the first and one single in the eight, and he induced a double play both times these guys reached base.

and I say I'll be #3.

Well. It depends. Were you talking about Lee Mazzilli, or Leo Mazzoni? I still don't know.

lol at my pitching. Have a question, so the guys that are SP/RP obiviously count towards starts so when I reach the limit, I cant use them anymore?

Should have paid more attention to this lol.

If a pitcher starts a game, it's a start (of course). Having 10+ starters in your lineup will rack up the starts... ;\)

You have only 10 starts left for the rest of the game \:o so choose wisely. ;\)

I don't know how you can be so ahead of the game in starts, but your offense is lagging behind (C -22, RF -17, SS -9, CF -7)...

lol. I'll just chalk that up to inexperience in this kind of a league.

But uhh, if anyone needs pitching, I have a little to spare. \:p

Someone inform me, is the 162 game limit the GAME limit or is that what we have set it at.

If its what we set it at then what does AP do about having RP who can also Start?

I don't mean this to be offensive but I realize AP has a snowball's chance in hell of winning but what about for other teams?

lol, that was my plan all along. Use up all my pitching in the first half and then make my move with my offence.

But seriously, I'm in need of RP(s) and will be willing to trade.

Crap, that's right -- I didn't think this would be an issue at the ALL-STAR BREAK! \:\/

AP, you can only use 10 more SP's for the rest of the season. I suggest you keep them ALL on your bench until you want to use one in a great matchup or something. This includes SP/RPs who have been starting. Bench them all, and use them one at a time and sparingly! You can keep RP's-only in your lineup. If an RP-only accidentally starts, it counts toward the GS limit, so I'd be very careful. In the end if you go over by a start or two, it's no big deal - but please minimize my workload as commish since now I'll have to monitor your game starts for the next 3 months... \:\/

You will probably want to trade some of your SPs for offense (I'd load up on C's) or RP-only's. All trades must still be fair and will be reversed if I find they aren't. Unless, of course, you give me one of your Big 3 SPs \:D

The 162 start limit is something that we (the GBB) set for ourselves. The limit applies to all starts (SP and RP starts).

Once AP reaches 162 games, JG will make sure that AP benches all his starters. At that point, AP should probably trade his premium starters for some offensive help and also RPs that are actually relief pitchers.

I haven't given up, but I really don't know if it's possible for me to get back in the race. My pitching has been killing me and I'm dead last in homeruns. My valuable players are Utley, Crawford, Griffey, Cabrera, Hafner, and Sheets. I suppose I need to make major changes, so those guys and everyone else on my roster are on the block.

Your biggest problem is a lack of RP. You have two empty spots wasting potential points for you everyday. You have to get rid of some of dead wood on your team tying up roster spots.

My RPs were doing horrible. I figured I was better off leaving those 2 spots empty than filling them with 2 guys off the RP scrap heap.

I thought this same thing. RP's have so much potential to destroy you daily, but score very few points when they do well.

I see your reasoning, but even some of the mediocre RP's still available have positives points for the year. I have 8 on my roster. Most of them pretty good. Make me an offer.

Trade Accepted

#9 FC trades
Greg Maddux (SD - SP)

#3 TM trades
Paul Lo Duca (NYM - C)
Heath Bell (SD - RP)

Quick ANALysis: Total 2007 season points heavily favor FC, so in this case, I have no problem with it... ;\)

I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol

I'm not sure what he sees in Maddux. Bell alone is more valuable.
LoDuca is not a great fantasy catcher, but is a solid #2.

I'm dead last in GS and that is really a concern with my AL East pitchers, plus Santana who is only valuable for his home starts. Maddux is a safe thing to fill a couple of my starts with a decent average. I liked Lo Duca as my C but I just picked John Buck who has more fan pts than him. and Bell has already done everything he was supposed to.

now, I'm almost willing to accept your trade offer. give me some time to think about it.
