The only way I would have a chance is if someone were to trade me Alex Rodriguez in a trade similar to this Utley trade. I could give up two so-so players for A-Rod and another good player. Hmm... Then I might have a chance.

Cain is much better than his fantasy numbers suggest, but I've lost patience with the SFO offense. BB has been asking me about his homey Cain since Day 1, and since I don't trust using him at this point, I'm happy to give him up to a fan. Ty, while not a huge player, helps me backup 2B.

I'm supposing the trade will go thru. I haven't had time to thoroughly analyze it, but it's not like Santana for a backup catcher, either. No one's competing w/ #1 any more anyway at this point, so wtf...  But 1 more objection might stop it, or reverse it, if there's time left..... there's no countdown clock.....

I was just trying to remember if last year the 1st place team (ME)
was running away with it, or it was still close. Looking quickly at the 2006 thread, it looks like you and JG were going back and forth through the end of July and you started to pull away in August. As opposed to JG who pulled away all year....
