Utley scheduled to see specialist Friday for broken right hand

PHILADELPHIA -- Phillies All-Star second baseman Chase Utley broke his right hand when he was hit by a pitch during Thursday's 7-6 loss to the Washington Nationals.
Utley was hit in the fifth inning by Washington's John Lannan, who was making his major league debut. Utley finished the game, going 2-for-4, but X-rays after the game showed he broke a bone in the hand.
Utley planned to see a specialist on Friday to determine the first step in his recovery.
"As breaks go, it's not that bad of a break," Utley said. "It's definitely disappointing."
Utley, batting .336 with 17 homers and 82 RBIs, didn't think he'd be sidelined for a month.
"I think it will be sooner than that," he said.
Phillies manager Charlie Manuel said that Abraham Nunez will likely replace Utley at second base.

I don't think losing Utley is gonna hurt DB's chances of winning... but it's a start!

I went back and forth with Penny all day long. In my lineup, out of my lineup, etc etc etc. But after F-Cord f'ed me with a -19, I figured one of the NL's best pitchers of '07 would help me recoup some of that, despite pitching @COL. I'll take the 12-point win at this point... kept me from being DEAD LAST for the day at least.  (Not to mention NYY being shut out by the freakin' Royals!  after scoring 60-something runs the past few games...) Bad day.
