I'm pretty sure my grandfather was probably in his early sixties when he died. My grandmother was 85 when she died in 2000, and she is the oldest that anyone in my family has lived. My grandfather owned his own business, that as it turned out contained asbestos, hence he died of lung cancer, and didn't smoke a day in his life. Since he died 23 years before my grandmother I'm thinking he was about 62 at the time.

I remember my grandmother was 14 when she got married, and 15 when my oldest aunt was married. Imagine that today?
