Good catch Beth-ee, that almost went over my head.
Actually, Clemenza mentioned West 43rd Street, which is up north, in Hell's Kitchen. I was referring to (half jokingly) my aunt's building on West 8th, in Greenwich Village. It's right by Macdougal Street and Washington Square Park (Al's first starring film was PANIC IN NEEDLE PARK, set in and around WSP).
It's a different place now, though. Yuppies, artists, liberals and entertainers. Robert DeNiro lives not to far away, over on North Moore Street.
It's one of the best "summer" neighborhoods in New York City. There's lots to do, you can walk to anything and the restaurants!! Oh my God!!

Email of The Day: I hope I didn't overlook this answer on your site and have wasted your time but I heard that Black Sabbath originally did music or even did the Godfather theme before they used the one they have in the movie now and they never used the Black Sabbath version. If this is true please tell me if it is true or if you can you direct me where I can find the answer to solve a battle between friends for the correct answer. Thank you so much!! WTF??

Oh wait... I think I know where that came from... When Bravo aired the Saga in 2002 they made some cute little "extras", and that was one of them - "The Lost Soundtracks - Rejected - Black Sabbath" (as well as Barry White), with the theme played in those styles... I've posted them to YouTube here. But in any event, how could anyone think that was REAL??

The new DeNiro movie tanked at the box office this weekend.
The other film opening this weekend, Paramount's "Stardust," a well-reviewed adult fairy tale starring Michelle Pfeiffer, didn't fare as well. It took in $9 million, good enough for fourth place behind "The Simpsons Movie," but not as much as might be expected for a film with a cast that included Robert DeNiro, Peter O'Toole and Claire Danes.
The movie's theme made it difficult to market in a 30-second TV spot, said Rob Moore, Paramount's head of worldwide marketing and distribution.
"When you make an original movie, it's always very challenging to be able to communicate to your audience what the genre is," Moore said. "These movies tend to be driven by word of mouth and home entertainment."
Moore said it is expected to do better in international markets. The movie, which cost about $70 million to make, will be rolled out in Europe and other markets in October.

The women are all flocking to me. Ex-Cons must be attractive this week, or something.

You can make me an Italian breakfast DC. Do you know what an Italian breakfast consists of Mig? Cheeses, dry sausage, salami, italian bread, capicolla and fruits. They don't eat eggs or pancakes for breakfast.
Don Cardi Five - ten years from now, they're gonna wish there was American Cosa Nostra. Five - ten years from now, they're gonna miss John Gotti.
