Point of order: Kay and Michael didn't do the baptizing, it was done by the priest.

From the Baltimore Catechism.

318. Who can administer Baptism?
The priest is the usual minister of Baptism, but if there is danger that someone will die without Baptism, anyone else may and should baptize.

Technically, that is true, but in my family we refer to the godparents as the people who "baptized" the baby.

That is all well and good, as long as your family realizes that they are wrong.

Johnny...The Baltimore Catechism? The one with the blue cover? I thought they moved it to Indianapolis after Vatican II. I remember having to memorize that thing. And as for baptism I always thought it was cool that anyone could baptize people. When I was about 8 I went around baptizing (often without their knowledge) all my non Catholic friends, as well as dogs, cats and the occasional rabbit.

Its been so long ago, that I really don't remember the color of the cover, but I seem to think it was blue. But I do remember having to memorize the whole thing.

As funny as it might seem, it appears as though it is very possible that have saved many souls, by baptizing them. According to the rules, you had reached the "age of reason", your friends being non Catholic, didn't have access to a priest, so I would imagine your Baptisms are valid and will stand up. I am not too sure about the dogs and cats, since it really isn't certain whether or not their are pets in Heaven.

I love my Chrysler and tuna fish sandwiches.
