Aren't any of you Sandlot fans??
Benny "The Jet" Rodriguez! It is the clutch situation of the season. They say The Jet's lost a step or two, but I wouldn't be surprised to see some fireworks here. The Jet's got a suicide lead and-- and there he goes! He's stealing home! I don't believe it! He's stealing home![Cheering] He's stealing home, and they don't see him! The pitch! He's hit the dirt! He's safe! Safe! Oh, my God! - [ Cheering ] Safe! Safe! Safe! I don't believe it! The Jet stole home! The Jet stole home!

Aww! But are you sure you want us in your mind in place of Benny?? He seems a little upset about that...look at this stare he's giving you. School's been pretty good! Now that I'm getting into a routine, I'm starting to enjoy it more.

Is that DVC?

I'm such a dumbass sometimes... Obviously I knew today was Saturday, but after I (obviously) didn't win Mega Millions on Tuesday, I said to myself I had to play Friday for the chance at like $350-whatever million. Obviously missed it yesterday, but in my head, I was going out tonight, had to get there to get the tickets. Wondering why no one else was on line. Even the kid was like "man, 4 people split the big prize" and in my head I'm like, "another game had a big prize?" In any event, I have 5 chances at the measly TWELVE million on Tuesday.

Well, I hate competition. Don't blame me. This body is a curse.

So, It's been an interesting day for me. The weather has been very weird here today. Hot (106) kind of muggy, reminding me somewhat of Michigan and tornado weather. While at my daughter's, there was a fire in the vicinity with black smoke darkening the sky and ashes literally falling on the ground. Sirens going, airplanes that fly over the fire to put out the flames all of course adding to the hot hot weather. Yet when it's as dry as it is here, there is always cause for concern. Then, to top it all off we had an earthquake that centered about 10 miles from my area (4.5 but felt stronger to me). It shook the whole house, knocked a picture off the wall and sent us scrambling for cover, all the while trying to not act too panicy in front of the grandkids who were asking their mother, "what's happening mommie?" Try and explain what an earthquake is to a 3 &5 year old. Fortunately all is well, the fire's out, no more quakes and we even managed to go eat at a great pizza/Italian restaurant called NYPD's. My calzone was great. An interesting day to be sure. TIS
