When my mom was diagnosed with ovarian cancer back in 1974, it was nothing short of a death sentence. Some doctors were telling her to have the chemo and radiation; others were telling her not to, and at a meeting with them, she swears that a fight almost broke out. She finally got so fed up that she stood up at this conference table of oncologists and radiologists and said, "This is my body and I'll do it my way!"

After that, Frankie's rendition of My Way always had a special significance for her.

Btw, she turned 81 last week and is still going strong!
