Mig, what's wrong with rare???

I love medium/rare steak. I don't mind if my burger is a little rare, but not too rare.
Geez, I'm realizing that the variety of food I cook is so limited compared to some others here.

And, the older I get, and now that I'm by myself, I cook much less.
If I had to pick one thing that I think I've "perfected" to my taste anyway, is my tomato sauce. It actually took a few years to get it right. Know what I mean? It's funny how the ingredients can be basically the same as say, my mom or mother-in-law's, yet each person's sauce tastes a little different.
As far as cooking Chinese food or any other ethnic food, I am far from experienced. I guess I'm basically a Italian-American gal when it comes to cooking.
