I agree completely. I've been accused of being stuck up because I don't talk much. I actually prefer listening rather than talking, and when there isn't any conversation I enjoy the silence. It drives me crazy when people think there is something wrong with me, or they think I'm sneaky or whatever because I'm quiet.

Like LLC said we are socially conditioned to speak. I completely understand people who want to be talking all the time, but people very rarely understand my desire to listen. Don't these people who talk need someone to listen to them?

It's amazing how quick I can learn what type of person someone is by not talking a lot when I meet them. They are either very patient and want to get to know me (which is rare) or they snub me thinking I'm stuck up.

Yeah, a lot of my peers think I'm an asshole because of how quiet I can be in social settings. In fact, the only time I really talk during the day is while I'm working, when I talk to customers. Other than that I really don't say much.

I'm usually quiet because most people don't get my sense of humor, and I end up offending them. I have no problem sitting in silence. In fact, most times I actually prefer it.

If people think I'm an asshole for it, oh well.

I just found out my boyfriend who I haven't talked to since Sunday when I left his house (his phones been shut off for not paying the bill or something)... is cheating on me.

I just found out my EX boyfriend did that.

That boy better hope his phone stays shut off and/or I cool down before I get my car in the next couple weeks.. cuz I'm gonna be paying him a little visit.
