Thought I would do a thread about peoples 3 fav living actors.
I’ve gone for probley the most famous 3 actors who are still living. I've picked these as they are all top actors who are able to pull off practically any role given to them.I could gladly sit through any of there films.
I think their best years are behind them and probley won't make a better film than they all ready have. But will go down as legends..
Well, heres my list and i've listed what "I" think is there best film..
Robert De Niro (Goodfellas, Raging Bull, Mean Streets, Taxi Driver)
Al Pacino (Scarface, GF trilogy, Scent Of a Woman, Dog Day Afternoon, Serpico)
Tom Hanks (Forest Gump, Philadelphia, Big, Apollo 13, Saving Private Ryan)
Who would you choose as your 3?

Edward Norton is probably the best modern actor or the best actor in his "prime".
"Somebody told me when the bomb hits, everybody in a two mile radius will be instantly sublimated, but if you lay face down on the ground for some time, avoiding the residual ripples of heat, you might survive, permanently fucked up and twisted like you're always underwater refracted. But if you do go gas, there's nothing you can do if the air that was once you is mingled and mashed with the kicked up molecules of the enemy's former body. Big-kid-tested, motherf--ker approved."

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Paul Newman.
My list: 1. Paul Newman 2. Robert DeNiro 3. Tom Hanks
1. Newman - Arguably the best actor of my lifetime. He's been entertaining for the last 50 years and although most of his best roles (and my favorites) were from his first decade ("Cat on a Hot Tin Roof", "The Hustler" and "Hud") he's had some awesome performances in his later years as well ("Nobody's Fool" and "The Road to Perdition"). He's got style and charisma and just seeing his name in the credits is reason enough for me to want to see the movie. He's equally credible in comedy as he is in dramatic roles.
2. DeNiro - I don't suppose he needs any buildup on these boards but he's among the most exciting actors I've ever seen on the big screen. While I don't particularly like his comedic efforts ("Meet the Parents", "Analyze This", etc.) his dramatic roles overcome them and although he's at his best when portraying a gangster he's had some AWESOME other roles ("Raging Bull", "The Deer Hunter", etc.) He scared the shit out of me as Max Cady in "Cape Fear"!
3. Hanks - When he started out his career, he was often compared to Steve Guttenberg, another young actor in similar roles. I thought Guttenberg would be the one to make it big... boy, was I was wrong! Hanks has an uncanny ability for picking great roles and then going out and making them even greater. Whether it be "Philadelphia", "Forest Gump", "Saving Private Ryan", "The Green Mile" (my favorite) or "Road to Perdition", he's entertaining and totally believable in his portrayals.

"Favorite" or "Best"? Totally different to me...
I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! lol Whaddaya want me to do? Whack a guy? Off a guy? Whack off a guy? --Peter Griffin My DVDs | Facebook | Godfather Filming Locations

"Favorite" or "Best"? Totally different to me... *Capo finishes page 199 of his 200-pages reply* Ha! Yeah, the gold old notion of "Agh! He does nothing for me, but my, what a great actor he is!" Or, on the flip side: "Boy, he really captivated me - too bad he's a terrible actor."

what looks like a sugar-coated tear-jerker turns out to be a superbly performed I watched the trailer for it and thought "Capo must be joking around with me" because it does look like a "sugar-coated tear-jerker". I'm looking forward to it now, thanks for the heads up.
