To quote a wise, wise man, "You should cut their feet off. They'd never do it again." But seriously, that's a shame. You should turn whoever did that into a Muppet.
"Somebody told me when the bomb hits, everybody in a two mile radius will be instantly sublimated, but if you lay face down on the ground for some time, avoiding the residual ripples of heat, you might survive, permanently fucked up and twisted like you're always underwater refracted. But if you do go gas, there's nothing you can do if the air that was once you is mingled and mashed with the kicked up molecules of the enemy's former body. Big-kid-tested, motherf--ker approved."

The Sex Pistols are supposed to be on Leno Tuesday night!
It's just not the same without Sid though, regardless of what he may have done over the course of his life. Still very cool, however. Thanks for the heads up.

Blibble will enjoy this one: I've just found out that Streetlight Manifesto are coming through my town November 17. I can't wait to go see them again. They were amazing when I saw them over the summer. The entire crowd was dancing more than Moses.
I luvvvvre ska.

Someone get me a leaf.
"Schwatznegger says marijuana not a drug. It's a leaf."
LONDON — California's governor says marijuana is not a drug, a British magazine reported Monday.
Arnold Schwarzenegger told the British edition of GQ magazine that he had not taken drugs. The former bodybuilder and Hollywood star has acknowledged using marijuana in the 1970s and was shown smoking a joint in the 1977 documentary "Pumping Iron."
"That is not a drug. It's a leaf," Schwarzenegger told GQ.
"My drug was pumping iron, trust me," he added.
In an interview for the magazine's December issue, Schwarzenegger refused to condemn politicians who declined to answer questions about drug use.
"What would you rather have? A politician taking stuff and not saying, but making the best decisions and improving things? Or a politician who names all the drugs he or she has taken but makes lousy decisions for the country?" Schwarzenegger was quoted as saying.
"A politician's job is to do what's best for the people and to improve the country, the economy, the environment. Why should I care if a politician takes sleeping pills every night so long as he can do his job?"
In the same interview, Schwarzenegger listed former Prime Minister Tony Blair, who left office in June, as one of the greatest leaders in history, alongside former South African President Nelson Mandela, U.S. Presidents John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan and ex-Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev.
Asked if he would include U.S. President George W. Bush on the list, Schwarzenegger — a Republican — said: "I would say that I was ... very fond of his father. I worked for President Bush Sr. and he was a great man."
"I think his son does some great things and there are some other things I don't agree with."
How about a little less questions and a lot more shut the hell up - Brian Griffin

NYC confuses me. First you've got the boroughs, then you've got other names like Farmingham or Sheepshead. Is Brooklyn a city or really kind of like a county, then these other places are cities inside a huge city? The five boroughs of New York City represent 5 of the 62 counties of New York State. (Brooklyn is actually Kings County, and was an independent city until 1898). Within each county/borough, you also have distinct neighborhoods. There's more info here and here...

NYC confuses me. First you've got the boroughs, then you've got other names like Farmingham or Sheepshead. I'm not sure about Farmingham (where'd that come from?) but Sheepshead Bay is my old neighborhood. There are about 25 different named "neighborhoods" in Brooklyn, each unique in its own way (ethnic makeup, cultures, etc.). The other four boroughs have their own different neighborhoods as well. Sheepshead Bay still has the charm of an old fishing village right near the bay itself (about a dozen charter fishing boats harbor there as well as dozens of smaller craft). The rest of the area is Brooklyn residential - a collection of apartment buildings, two family homes and private (single) homes. Its population is becoming predominantly Russian and Chinese but there are still large percentages of Jews, Italians and Irish. It used to be the home of Carlo Gambino and was a major dumping area for those who crossed the Mob back in the 50's. Now the Russian mob is big there (I actually discovered the body of one their victims there back in 1986). I went to school there with bowler Mark Roth (the second leading money winner on the PBA tour) and comedienne, Elayne Boosler.

If you live somewhere like Sheepshead Bay, do you have your mail sent to Sheepshead Bay or Brooklyn?
Farmingham was somewhere mentioned in this thread somewhere, I think the last page. Mail is still addressed addressed to Brooklyn (even if the neighborhood is Sheepshead Bay). Its gets REALLY confusing if you live in Queens, though. They have different neighborhoods and different post offices. For instance, you may live in Astoria (one of the Queens' neighborhoods) and your mail is addressed to Astoria (not Queens). You're thinking of Farmingdale. Thats a town on Long Island (where I live now).
