Last January I was going thru some papers on my desk (I am not very organized) and found my new car insurance card -- the one in my wallet had expired weeks before and I didn't realize it! Today, I get my NEW insurance card, and put it in my wallet right away -- a month early -- just to realize that my registration expired at the end of JUNE!! WTF is my problem?!! I could've sworn I renewed it online, but they have a new system now that I can't log in to to see until I get some PIN snail-mailed to me -- so now I have to go to the freakin' DMV tomorrow to see WTF! Not only do I need a maid, but also a secretary! Ha ha!! You are funny Geoff! Just think, now you can wait in line at the DMV for a few hours and enjoy all the workers' smiling faces and eagerness to assist. I hate the DMV!! I had to go about 2 years ago for the first time in 12 years and it was just for an eye test. I waited at least 2 1/2 hours. What a pain in the ass. it only reminded me how just the DMV's reputation is. TIS

Our DMV is "new and improved" -- they even changed the name to Motor Vehicle Commission -- I had to go there in February to renew my license and it was infinitely better than the old DMV we had -- I forget exactly how long it took, but I was practically in and out for a photo license! (Alas, I probably just jinxed it for tomorrow! )

My registration/plates are due in March (the same month I got my car), but, a drivr's "license" renewal is every 5 years (with a good driving record). Plus, I know this year I'll need a smog check before I can re-register. A new car doesn't need a smog for the first 4 years I believe, then it's every other year after that. TIS

Lay off Geoff. It was my decision to ban DVC. It's done and you won't hear anything else out of me. Cicci, a'porta. What does that mean PB? I've never heard it before.

What does that mean PB? I've never heard it before. Its a reference to Frank Pentangeli telling Willie Cicci to open the door. Its at the point in Part II that Frankie Five Angels basically told Michael that there'd be no trouble from him (much like you posted above).

Ok, I'm moving to Jersey. November 14, 2007 -- Jon Bon Jovi could be planning one day to run for governor of New Jersey. That's why he's keeping his house in Red Bank, even though he and his wife, Dorothea, and their four kids have moved to SoHo. That's why he performs regularly at fund-raisers for Democrats like Al Gore and John Kerry. And that's why he hired p.r. guru Ken Sunshine, who was once the chief of staff for ex-Mayor David Dinkins. "Jon has been approached many times about running for office," said Sunshine, who denied the rocker has any political plans. "His day job is going too well, and this way he can keep the house."

Our DMV is "new and improved" .... I was practically in and out for a photo license! (Alas, I probably just jinxed it for tomorrow! ) Holy Crap!!!Okay, so I enter the DMV (I almost typed DMC ) -- no line at the reception desk ( ), tell the girl (who was very friendly ) that I wasn't sure if I needed to renew or replace my registration card. She said no problem ( ) just fill out this form. I fill it out, and go to the "Registration Express" window -- where there's absolutely no one waiting ( ) -- and the woman almost apologetically ( ) said I'd have to pay for the full renewal ($46.50 vs $5). No problemo! Literally 2-3 minutes later I was out the door w/ my registration: 6 MINUTES TOTAL!!! I LOVE OUR NEW DMV!! Or... Well I just UNjinxed it for you. Maybe it was Miggy all along - thanks, I love you too!
