I am watching the Weather Channel right now. We're supposed to get wet snow today, and then as it gets colder tonight, accumulations of an inch or two by morning. This sucks. ALREADY?? I can't stand it.

I remember being so excited about snow when I was younger, and how my parents made that, "Snow?? UGH!" face. I have now become my parents.

I still get excited by a big snowstorm .... for one day. Then I want it to melt real fast.

My parents were the same, SB. They'd get upset when it snowed and I'd be ecstatic. As I got a little older and watched my dad having to put chains on the tires, etc., I came to realize they weren't getting the benefits of a snowstorm that I was. I was able to play in it, maybe get a day off from school, etc. They'd have to trudge off to work regardless. Now that I have to shovel out my car from a storm and drive to work in it, it ain't fun.

I wasn't so bad when we lived in the city, because it was OK if you didn't have the car for a little while. However, the suburbs are a different story. Unless we dig out the cars, we're screwed. Thank God we invested in a good snowblower because our driveway is huge.

I just saw a commercial for "Bath fitters", the remodeling company. The guys states he wants a professional to do the job. He said he wants them to "Get in, get out, and do the job right".

Seriously, I hate this stupid bird. First of all, it's a boy and my daughter named him Shirley (well, she was only 6 when we got him), so Mr. Babe feels compelled to call him Big Man to make him feel better about his name. He allows him to fly around, saying things like, "Way to go, Big Man!!" This is supposed to reassure him about his masculinity (the bird's, not my husband's). Secondly, he's a pig (again, the bird, not my husband, although they both have their moments). There are feathers and seeds all over the place constantly. Third, he's supposed to live until he's about 25 and he's only 7.

We actually had carbon monoxide poisoning two years ago. If that didn't kill him, I don't know what would. At this rate, the damn thing will fly over my grave and poop on it.

I think that a cocktail actually sounds good about now.
