Obviously there is no snow here, but would you believe it got down to 37 degrees last night? It's only 47 right now. I am all bundled up in a blanket and my furnace is working overtime. I'm such a wuss. Hey TB, I even heard parts of Arizona had snow today. It's not in your area is it? TIS

Svsg, Where in Texas are you if I may ask? Also, any word on that job interview you went to in San Diego? TIS

I woke up to sleet this morning. It is raining now. When the Col. got home from work this morning he said the roads were very slick. Winter has arrived. It snowed, then rained, then froze last night. Left work at 5, had to scrape snow and ice off my car, few hours later I went out for soup and had to scrape more ice off my car, and again when my wife went to work at 10. The ice was thick, the scraper wouldn't move it, had to use the other side to break it up first.
Long as I remember The rain been coming down. Clouds of Mystery pouring Confusion on the ground. Good men through the ages, Trying to find the sun; And I wonder, Still I wonder, Who'll stop the rain.

Svsg, Where in Texas are you if I may ask? Also, any word on that job interview you went to in San Diego? TIS Dallas, very near my university, UT Dallas. No TIS, they did not get back to me with any decision, so I take it as I did not get that job. However, there is a good news. I got a good job in Dallas two days back. I haven't got the offer letter yet, so I did not announce it. Hopefully by the middle of this week, I will get it. And also I am graduating next week. So it is a change of pace (and also phase) in life for me now

the shoveling part ... it's a pain in the ass. Literally. Literally? You shovel snow with your ass?? Try a shovel next time... then it's only a pain in the back...
I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! lol Whaddaya want me to do? Whack a guy? Off a guy? Whack off a guy? --Peter Griffin My DVDs | Facebook | Godfather Filming Locations

It's a pain in your ass when you slip on ice and fall on it. Been there done that. I'll never forget when I was little my dad was walking to the car to go to work and he slipped on the ice and broke his leg.

I may be on the other side of the fence now, but believe I know what you guys mean. I absolutely hated shoveling snow. My toes/fingers would go numb; :(I hated backing out of my driveway and slip/sliding into a snowbank and have to shovel myself out or get some help pushing me out; I hated getting into a freezing car in the morning (which is why I let it run for about 20 minutes before I stepped in it); I hated right after shoveling, waking up to yet another snow storm. And, I remember being nice and warm under the covers and having to start the day by freezing my ass off. Gee, that's why I moved to California. TIS

I'll never forget when I was little my dad was walking to the car to go to work and he slipped on the ice and broke his leg. When it snowed heavily back in the day, I used to watch my dad put snow chains on our car (so he could go to work). There he'd be, a cigarette dangling from his mouth, jacking up the car in the garage, and in between curses, putting the chains on the tires. I learned a few good (curse) words from those snowy days.

My mom broke her leg the night BEFORE the blizzard of was it 1969? They were having a surprise party for my aunt, and she and her other sister had gone to pick up the cake. She slipped carrying the cake, and, rather than drop the cake, let her leg twist under her when she fell. She broke her ankle in 3 places, drove herself to the ER (her sister didn't have a license), got it cast, and still made the party. She was in a cast from her toes to her groin. Everyone who saw her assumed she had slipped and fallen in the snow. She was so embarrassed to admit that she fell the night before, that she just went with the whole blizzard story after a while.
