Hell motherfucking yeh. We have a 50 point collague to make by Monday on what we think the American Dream is. This kicks so much ass. The motherfucker is going to be loaded with Scarface, Tupac, and my other inspirations. Just thought I'd share. This is so fucking awesome!! -Pat Edit: Spelled collague wrong.

Very mature. First off, where am I talking about rap? Please point it out for me. Secondly, if you don't think this topic belongs here, then you can't comprehend movies very well, as Scarface was all about grasping the American Dream. -Pat

Yeah, that makes sense....
An american dream would be more like a JFK type of figure.... dream on pat...Tupac is shit. Wow, your ignorance is amazing. You know absolutely nothing about Tupac. If you think Tupac rapped all about drugs and killing, then you need to do some research on the topic itself, before criticizing it. Tupac was more intelligent then what you'll ever be. -Pat Patches--I don't even think I'm going to college, unless I become a writer. I'd like to just open up my own sports bar on the boardwalk and kick it for the rest of my life. -Pat

I didn't say he didn't rap about guns and drugs. I said it wasn't all about that. Tupac sold drugs because he was a Thug. Not a gangsta or gangster, a Thug. A member of a group who is going to go out and shoot a person who may be effecting their society or maybe someone who is selling drugs. They'll either beat up this person or they'll kill him. They'll steal his drugs and sell them, but instead of going out and buying useless shit, they'll maybe give it to a person in need or donate it. Thugs are like a living contradiction. BTW, I know you're not a rocket scientist, as a rocket scientist wouldn't be as idiotic as you to conversate about things he has no knowledge about. -Pat

I like the way the DVD case puts it, "He lived the Amercian Dream With a Vengance." Tony Montana definately exhibited some of the qualities that is associated with the Amercian Dream, but, most people who experience that dream, are not drug dealing killers who get murdered by a Bolivian drug lord. I think we can all admire his ambition and rise to power, but we shouldn't admire the path he took with his ambition, or what organization he rose to power in.

The American dream doesn't exist. The government is just way to secretive, and unfair to allow such a thing. There is something called luck, and the economy. I'm sorry I just can't stand people thinking this country is number one. Don't get me wrong, I love America I just think we need to make major improovements. But there are just so Many other countries with just the same, if not more, freedoms and a shit load of oppurtunity. I'd say maybe we used to be number 1 but it is the kind of cockiness of thinking we will always be on top and the whole "american dream" theory that anyone can make it here. I don't mean to sound racist, I hate racisim, but seriously many minority occupations are either horrible occupations and many people just give the minorities occupations even if they are less qaulified then the other guy, so they dont seem racist which in the long run is just as bad as being a racist. Thats the opposite of equal oppurtunity. Like I said I hate racism and I feel this has to stop, and we must truly give equal oppurtunity. Did you guys know that statistics proove that the current most discriminated against person in the U,S. is the white male? I'm sure you're all goingto think this was a waste of time and I plan on getting comments reffering to me as a consceeded liberal or something along those lines... Well whatever I will let you continue but please if you comment on this be open minded. I've gotten into so many debates with conservitive friends and family members, and republicans over other forumss, and they are never open minded. So please If you even comment on this I beg of you to keep it CLEAN, RESPECTIBLE, and OPEN MINDED.

I think 2pac is def one of the best examples of the american dream. How he started, to where he got to. {except for his killing) And to the person who said that JFK is an example for the american dream is WRONG, he was living the american dream the minute he was born. He endured no struggle, he was a rich boy. The american dream is about the passions of acheiving your goal of getting money. ( in my opinion)
