This may sound weird, and perhaps working at a school I should know this, but when I was in school a typical quiz/test question would be: "when was Pearl Harbor bombed" or What happened on Dec. 7, 1941?" I wonder if this is still studied? Or, as pointed out by others, as the time goes on, and as people who lived during/through it pass away, will it be merely a minor topic discussed American History classes? TIS

[quote=Irishman12]... As for saying "Happy Pearl Harbor Day", thats the biggest crock of doody I've read on these boards. Would you say "Happy 9/11 Day" every year??? Reminds me of a soundbite I heard from a few months ago...when James Brolin (Mr. Barbra Streisand) called a local radio station on Sept. 11th, I think to plug his (then) new film. The jocks cordially reminded Mr. Brolin that they were in the middle of commemorating 9/11 and weren't thinking about movies at just that moment. Brolin then abruptly shouted, 'OH, YEAH...HAPPY 9/11 !!!' One of the jocks replied that they didn't really see it as a very 'happy' anniversary, that they had in fact lost friends on that day. If I hadn't heard it with my own ears, I probably wouldn't believe it. Apple ps - Capo de la Cosa Nostra, since personal attacks are not allowed on the BB, I won't call you an idiot. But if personal attacks were allowed on the BB, that's exactly what I would do. Boy, are you lucky...
