Snowing here (finally) for the first time this season -- just a dusting so far. It's supposed to turn into freezing rain tonight, then heavy rains tomorrow. \:\/


I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol

It's freezing rain here. My umbrella is weighted down from all the ice pellets. I had to walk in this to go vote.

I looked out my window and there's icicles hanging down. The snow has turned to all freezing rain.

I made it home. First there was heavy snow, freezing rain and then sleet. There were a few white knuckle moments, but no real sliding. I listened to ELO and Gordon Lightfoot the whole way.

That happened to me this afternoon on my drive home. I went over to Woodbridge New Jersey and on the way back home, there was an accident on the highway and on the bridge. They had to close the bridge. A ride that normally takes me 15 minutes tops, took me an hour and 10 minutes!

And now it's even more dangerous and slippery out there.

Thank you Klyd. That was so sweet. This is the same time frame as last year when we had that blizzard. The Col. was out of time and I did all that shovelling by myself. This year the Col is out of town but my son helped me this year. I'm not about to hurt my back again. Last year my back hurt for a month. I didn't do my sidewalks though.

I remember that well. The same highway I travelled tonight made national news a year ago this week when it was closed for 4 days due to the ice and stranded vehicles.

Driving to work was a little hairy but my Al Bundy car (stop laughing, Beth) made it through. Coming home was fine (all the ice had melted and we just have a lot of slush on the streets).
