It's gross out. Schools here were delayed two hours. I just took one look out my front door and declared a snow day. No way were my kids getting on a bus, or in a car, on a day like this. It's still icy and slushy, even though it appears to be mostly rain at this point.

No. This was Interstate 81 between Scranton and Harrisburg. This stretch runs through Wilkes-Barre, Hazleton, Route 80, Frackville and Lebanon before I hit home just north of Harrisburg.

I could take the Northeast extension of the Turnpike to Allentown and head home on 78 during snowy weather as that route doesn't take you up in the mountains, but it is generally longer.

No school again today. That is 3 days in a row.

I was on the "Hutch" this morning, The Hutchinson River Parkway for non New Yorkers. The freakin' thing was like a swimming pool!

It was shut down from Boston Road to Eastchester, which is like 10 miles! It took me 2 hours to get to lower Westchester County. It usually takes me 15 minutes.

They should make cars that can float and drive like boats.

PB, I read that the Saw Mill, Taconic, Bronx River and Hutch were all closed because of flooding.

It's no joke. Going north, I crawled to Boston Road, where it shut down, then had to go through the North Bronx, Pelham and Mount Vernon just to get to my father's place up in Eastchester. It's horrendous!
