If you can't even describe it....
I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! lol Whaddaya want me to do? Whack a guy? Off a guy? Whack off a guy? --Peter Griffin My DVDs | Facebook | Godfather Filming Locations

So it's not just slow, like Ave Maria... You can't even say if it's in English or not? Details.

Are you talking about James Brown's "Living in America"? No bigger Italian than The Godfather. But I thought Neil Diamond did that song.

Is it "Back To Sorrento" (don't know the exact Italian title, maybe just Sorrento). There was an English version by Elvis called Surrender....starts out slow and becomes intense. I am curious too. Give us more details. Don't know if it's considered opera, but I know tenors have sung it in Italian. TIS

To Geoff, Yesterday, I read your post about putting the tv listings to the side. For some reason, I can't find it to reply. I thought it was in this thread. Or maybe I'm just blind. Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks. You do so much to make this a great place and I want to acknowledge that I (and I'm sure everyone else) appreciates what you do. You're spoiling us when we don't even have to go to the tv guides to see what's on. Good work. TIS
