Sure, make fun all you want, but it was a big old black bear and it was crossing the parkway. We also had coyote and wild turkey in our yard. Coincidentally, when the coyotes come around, the turkeys soon disappear.

Actually, it was very sad. She heard the commotion and picked up the bloody dog. She ended up having to get a series of rabies shots.

I saw a Llama once walking through the city.

Really! Every year when the circus comes to town they walk the elephants through the Midtown Tunnel (its not big enough to truck them through it). Its quite an impressive sight to see these coolest of animals just walking through as if they owned the streets.

Speaking of concerts, we scored tickets for the Billy Joel Farewell Shea Stadium concert in July!

I saw Billy Joel back in 1986 at Madison Square Garden, and boy did he put on one hell of a show back then. (I remember that it was in 1986 because it was game 1 of the Mets / Sox WS game that night and I was going out of my mind that I was missing the game).

I saw him in '86 at the Meadowlands, DC. I think it was THE BRIDGE tour.

When we saw Elton John, at one point near the end of the concert the security guards all came up and forced people away from the stage and circled it. We didn't know if he had gotten a threat or what, but it was obvious something was going on. Then, nothing happened, and the concert was over.

Afterwards, we asked one of the guards why they had done that. They said that Billy Joel had shown up backstage and they didn't know if he was going to come out and sing with Sir Elton. Alas, he didn't.

Aw, c'mon, Babe, tell the truth. It was because you threw your underwear on the stage, right?

I'm jealous. There aren't too many people I would "LOVE" to see but Elton John & Billy Joel are on the top of my list. Also, I would absolutely love to see the Rolling Stones and never have.

One of the most exciting concerts I saw was the Eagles, "Hell Freezes Over" tour in '94. This was their first reunion and it was an outside concert on a beautiful summer night, people were hyped up, bumper/parking lot parties before and after the concert, and they sounded great.....just plain fun.
