We saw the Stones about 8 years ago, and I was impressed with how great Mick still sounded. And that Keith Richards was still alive.

Elton John was great. It was just him and a piano. And, PB, if I was going to throw underwear to anyone, it wouldn't be a short gay man with crazy eyeglasses!

Reminds me of an old SNL skit. It was a Rolling Stones concert, and they were already ancient. There were a bunch of old women throwing their "granny panties" on stage. Hysterical.

I never know how much longer the Stones will be performing...my God, they are ancient. Yet, they still sound good. I don't know if they are one group, at this stage in their career, if it's better to hear them then see them. I'd still like to see them though.

That's awesome! I kived in a town once that had a traveling circus come through every year. The coolsest thing was the elephants. Not only did they perform in the shows, they gave elaphant rides. I still remember clearly taking my son on his third birthday for an elaphant ride. Most amazing was watching the elaphents do all the work -- they put up the big top tents. Thye used their trunks to host these huge wood poles. The strength and inteligence of these creatures is remarkable. I am not sure what the circus owners paid these elephants but whatever it was I am sure it was not enough.

Elephants are, without a doubt, my favorite animals. They are truly noble creatures.

If you are ever in or near Sarasota, Florida, take a trip to the Ringling Museum. Great stuff on the history of the circus, and the miniatures are nothing short of amazing.

They also have an art museum, and while we were there had a beautiful exhibit of Impressionists on loan. Also, the house and grounds are just gorgeous. Well worth it.

Ah, Babe I'm very jealous you're going to see Clapton. Definitely post how the concert was.. have fun!
