I had hot dogs for lunch.

Three with onions and relish, a soft pretzel with mustard and a cream soda.

Was it Dr. Browns? That is the best cream soda ever.

Of course.

At the Metro North Station on Fordham Road, I get 3 hot dogs and a Dr. Browns for $5.

Today I sprung for an extra buck and got a pretzel, too.

Rotisserie chicken, mashed potatoes, creamed corn and apple sauce. Kind of all-American tonight.

Left over Chinese food. Tomorrow, left over Italian.

All pasta or fish I hope!

I'm reheating the veal portion now since I'm already hungry after the Chinese.

Chicken on a rotisserie is the best, PB. When we got a new grill last year, we made sure to get the electric rotisserie attachment.

I agree, but mine came form Costco tonight.

Is that the best chicken, or what? And for $5, no less.

I drive all the way up to North Yonkers for it. The sides are great, too.

I ran into my former assistant in Costco buying a chicken one night. He admitted that he was buying it for his dog. He said it was cheaper to buy one chicken a week than buy dog food.

Yes, but they're not sold hot. They're in the refrigerated section under their own label. You just have to reheat them. The creamed spinach is as good as most steakhouses.

I love creamed spinach, but nobody else in my house will eat it.

I love all green vegetables.

Not to sound like one of those depression era old guys, because I'm clearly not, but if my brother and I didn't eat our vegetables, there was Hell to pay.

Hey, my mother used to make me eat BEETS!!

I like beets, but they make my pee smell funny. So does asparagus.

Asparagus has that effect on people. Never noticed that with beets, though.

Speaking of beef stew, I finally had the leftovers tonight with some garlic toast... it was good, but I was sooo craving that meatsauce I made last sunday, but, i figure i would save that for this sunday and not toss the rest of the beef stew since its been sitting there.

Tomorrow is friday so I am deciding whether to make my own pizza or order some out from a GOOD place, im willing to drive which is why i started that "pizza hunter" thread...

Applesauce, mashed potatoes and creamed corn do seem to mix very well.
