I can't wait for fresh summer fruit, like watermelon, to be in season.

Come June, we'll have more fresh strawberries than we can eat growing in the backyard. They grow like crazy, and each summer we have more and more.

MMMMMMMMMM, fruit. I can't wait either. Right now strawberries are $5.00 a pack. Grapes are $2.00 a pound. I'm stuck now with bananas and oranges.

Personally I feel since Dunkin Donuts began serving these pizzas, flatbread sandwiches, and breakfast sandwiches, their service has declined quite a bit. I know that I no longer frequent D&D for a cup of coffee the way that I once did. At one time you used to be able to run in, get a cup of coffee and be on your way. In and out of there. Now it seems to take forever just get a cup of coffee because the lines are longer due to the fact that the workers are too busy making sandwiches and other stuff rather than serving coffee and donuts. I think that if they don't hire more workers to just prepare the food orders, this expansion by them into selling foods other than bagels and donuts is going to hurt them in the long run.

And then Krispy Kreme can rise again!!

I stopped at a Dunkin' Donuts today. I think a big problem that they face is the big bakery departments in the suburban supermarkets are making bigger and better doughnuts that are cheaper.

When the Hurricanes of '04 hit down here, the power went out and FEMA handed out those MREs (Meals Ready to Eat) there was a pack of "Apple Cider Powder" I read the ingredients and there was no apple-anything in it, the closest it came to apple cider, was the picture on the front

Yeah, I had some watermelon chunks myself the other day. They looked nice and red, so I gave them a shot. But they weren't sweet at all.

The only melon you can really trust out of season is canteloupe.

I had some excellent honeydew last week.
