I have seen Nathan's in the stores for years
He - (Simón Bolívar) - was shaken by the overwhelming revelation that the headlong race between his misfortunes and his dreams was at that moment reaching the finishing line. The rest was darkness. "Damn it," He sighed. "How will I ever get out of this labyrinth!" So what’s the labyrinth? That’s the mystery isn’t it? Is the labyrinth living or dying? Which is he trying to escape - the world, or, the end of it?

I seen Nathan's hotdogs at the store the other day. Is this new or have they always been in the stores? I think they're branching out across the country now (in supermarkets). Our local stores have been carrying them for many years, and lately I've seen their french fries in many frozen food sections here. The fries aren't as good as if you bought them at a real Nathan's, but they're the best frozen fries I've ever tried. Mig, if you try the Nathan's franks, grill or broil them - don't boil them.

As SC said, Nathans are delicious and perfect for grilling. I also love Thumanns for grilling. Both are very very good. If you decide to grill them on the BBQ, keep the BBQ on high, but do NOT place the Franks directly on the lower rack of the grill. Instead place then on the upper rack and then close the cover. By grilling them that way they'll plump, split and crisp up. But as SC said, whatever you do, do NOT boil them. If you are going to boil franks, then buy the Sabrett pushcart style brand.

Hey Cardi, FYI, My family is requesting that I make the delicious prime rib receipe you gave me for the holidays. They all say they'd rather have that for Thanksgiving instead of turkey. I like Prime Rib better than turkey too, but you gotta have turkey on Thanksgiving. I'm thinking maybe I'll make it on Christmas. Anyway, just wanted you to know what a hit it was, and if anyone else on the BB is interested, we can repost. It's really really good. TIS

No two food groups should be mixed together. It's just gross. I think I'm gonna get some mashed potatos, carrots spinach and a big ol' steak, mix them all together and make you eat them. Ha ha ha ha I never mix my food together either, but I don't mind if, in the course of eating dinner, some juice from the corn touches he meat or a piece of carrot gets in the mashed potatos. Then, on the other hand, I am that way with any liquid I drink. No crumbs, no dipping, no kind of floaties in any drink I have. I'll dump it and get another. Plus, I like to tease you. TIS

Ha ha ha ha! I think they have that same dinnerware on sale somewhere. Buy one place setting, get a second free. But make sure there are no crumbs in any sections, we don't want to gross SB out. (Wait til she sees this) Btw, speaking of mixing foods together,I was never raised on this, and admit it doesn't appeal to me, but I remember "hash" (no not hashish) was a common dinner for one of my friends. You know, mixing all leftover together?????? Never had it, but it doesn't sound good to me. TIS

Then, on the other hand, I am that way with any liquid I drink. No crumbs, no dipping, no kind of floaties in any drink I have. I'll dump it and get another. TIS When I was a little girl, my mom used to let me dunk my cookies in milk. When I was done with the cookies, she would strain the milk into another glass so that I would drink it. I know it seems bizarrely OCD to eat like that, but I can't help it. It makes me actually nauseous to see someone mixing potatoes and a vegetable together. Not only do I have to have them separate, but I also have to eat them in order, from least to most favorite, saving the best for last. Like Sally, I am also very big with the phrase "on the side". I am totally insane.

A pizza-eating contest was held in Times Square (NYC) today in honor of Columbus Day (tomorrow). The winner, Joey Chestnut, a former hot dog eating champion, ate 45 slices in the allotted ten minutes. The pizza was standard 16" size (eight slices/pie). FORTY FIVE slices???
