Long as I remember The rain been coming down. Clouds of Mystery pouring Confusion on the ground. Good men through the ages, Trying to find the sun; And I wonder, Still I wonder, Who'll stop the rain.

You're too young to know that song. Plus, you're probably too young to have much driving experience, so I don't wanna be on the road with you anyway! Let's keep adult things like "driving" to real men. K, Vinnie?

Thanks SB. I'll try that and monster.com Have you researched any jobs with minor league teams? Quite a few of these are year round and the AAA and AA cities along the eastern seabord states (which I believe is your region) are very liveable for a young stud like yourself. I have tried them but so far have been unsuccessful. I've tried both the Yankees and Mets but now minor league teams require you to pay a fee to join this "group" and when positions open up, they e-mail you.

You looking to reach a goal, or save a couple bucks and end up collecting carts at Wal-Mart?

Yeah I'll probably just have to go ahead and do it although I don't really think it's fair. Jobs with MLB teams are posted free of charge (as are NBA) but for whatever reason, minor league job postings cost. While the day to day baseball operations of minor league teams are related to the MLB parent teams, the business end of the teams (ticket sales, promotions, advertising, travel, etc.) are completely unrelated to MLB. The Scranton team (the Yankees' AAA team) is owned and operated by the county, I believe, and am surprised there is a charge for an application. Maybe the county has hired a firm to run the team. Anyway, keep plugging. Getting your foot in the door is always the toughest part. I wish you well.

Jobs with MLB teams are posted free of charge (as are NBA) but for whatever reason, minor league job postings cost. The Staten Island Yankees, a minor league class A short season team that is a part of the New York Penn League, has postings all the time here in our local newspapers for job openings. You should contact them directly. I've sent you a PM with some contact information. Here is a link to the The New York Penn League Minor League Baseball website where it has links to ALL of the minor league teams that are a part of the league. Good luck!
