First of all, relax. That's not so easy, so practice it. Reharse, rehearse, rehearse your lines until you feel completely comfortable in them, and until, as Danito pointed out, you feel the part. But don't put yourself in the straightjacket of what the director wants or even what you want the character to be like. Experiment a little. No, don't think of Sonny. An audience can always tell when an actor is imitating rather than acting.

This was moved here from the GF Forum... First off, if it's "you", then just be yourself. You and they will find out if it's really "you" or not after that... character... characteristics... (Don't type those other "words" on any application, or anywhere, ever again... ) Good luck!
I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! lol Whaddaya want me to do? Whack a guy? Off a guy? Whack off a guy? --Peter Griffin My DVDs | Facebook | Godfather Filming Locations
