Second year in a row that I hit on a no-hitter.
Wouldn't that be two one-hitters, then??

A couple of random thoughts (uh oh, this thread is now gonna disappear): Geoff has closed within 18 points of #1 TM has quietly moved into the top 1% KL - Nice pick with the Sox (and Lester) I'm playing way above my level; Douchie and JL way below theirs.
Don't forget me, I won the second half last year. How does the saying go? Weekly is a Stoopida fockin' game.

I was gonna pick BoSox, too - but the week is only 1/7th complete... we'll see!
I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey!

The #3 guy picked the BoSox and is now only a couple points behind me!
Dammit... was he always that close??

With two days left in the week, BoSox PS have scored 80 pts, and the Rays 68. A lot can happen in two days, so we'll see which I should've went with...
But in any event,
this won't happened again!

You gotta like the fact that Beckett and Lester are going for the Sox BUT the Sox have been playing like doody on the road (and that's where their next two games are).
In your favor is Tampa is playing their two games (this weekend) at home (where they're doing well).
In any event, both Tampa and Boston did much better this week than my pick, Minnesota. (44 points)

unless the last two days of the week prove me very wrong, I believe the Rays PS pick was the best anyway. way cheaper and that team is playing very well. you gotta love'em. with Jackson today and the great James Shields tomorrow you can count on them and you can't complain if the Red Sox PS score a few pts more.
now, as I grow more interested in this game, I wonder who the hell I'll pick next week. I'll probably (I'll definitely) take a look at the Sombrero guy first
compared to the daily game, which one do you think is more about skill or luck?
in my humble opinion, with only the first weeks of play, I believe the weekly game is a bit more about skill, don't you think?

You pay more for a bad decision in this weekly game and the luck factor is less (than the daily game), so I agree. Skill is more of a factor in this weekly game.

My pitching staff has already given up 19 runs tonight (and the game still has two innings to go).
This game is all about luck.
(Edit: I've lost 55 points already ... that may be a one-day record for our boards).

I think JG had a -99 point day last year.

Today has been fun. All in one day we have discussed JG's amazing achievement as well as his most amazing failure.
I found his most amazing failure more fun to talk about.

Can I rescind my trade acceptance?
Okay, so...
Unofficially...
Rays scored 101 pts this week, and BoSox 96!
Let's see, I should still be #1 tomorrow
#1 323 pts
#2 289 pts
#3 300 pts
#4 308 pts
#5 319 pts
#6 322 pts
#7 323 pts
#8 308 pts
#9 340 pts
but...
#10 368 pts! "Yao" is gonna move up significantly probably, but I should still be ahead...
6 more weeks of this??!!

Those numbers look right but you fell 11 points behind the Sombrero. Meanwhile, TM has done quite well for himself, moving up to #256 overall.
Looks like most of us chose Arizona's p.s. this week.
