Bethie, I meant to thank you for the adorable Luke picture you posted for my friend. I emailed it to her along with the message, and she replied:

"that picture that your awesome Baltimore friend sent made me squeal! Good thing I'm home alone. That was indeed very sweet of her, and I'm glad she's keeping an eye on him. Luke's pointing at me? Me!? Awwwww!"

She's a perfect fit with us, huh?

She's playing BBC still this year, after she first tried it out I think last season, but she apparently hasn't been changing her roster since she took Luke off - she's convinced she'd been jinxing him.

Tell your friend she's very welcome. If I can't make men squeal I'm glad it worked on someone at least.

SB, I might be going to the Orioles/Yankees August 23rd game. Nicole is definitely going. I have to see how many tickets my brother in law ordered through church. It'll be strange going to a baseball game and not caring about who wins. Oh well. I'll just be there for the beer anyway.

I flipped channels and noticed the Orioles/Yankees game now. There used to be a time when Oriole park would be packed when The Yankees were in town. I think that place is half empty. Is the price of gas keeping people in New York?

Must be! The Yankees are actually WINNING right now. Of course, Mora just hit a 2 run home run. When we went to the game last Friday, I figured it would be empty, given that it was a holiday weekend. It was packed.

Edit: OK, they were winning. In that short time, Baltimore tied the game. Freaking Yankee bullpen sucks.

I think someone must have told both teams this was a preview of the All star Home Run derby. It must be the humidity making the balls fly out of the park.

Now, it has to be raining, and I doubt I'll wait up until the end of the game. That means The Yankees should win.

Speaking of the Mets, I won free tickets on the radio to the Giants vs. Mets game on June 3rd. Suhweet! I actually won tickets for a few weeks ago as well but couldn't go because my girlfriend had a stroke and all. I would have been an ass going to a game while she was in the hospital. It's too far into the season to not have been to a game yet. I can't wait!

Not paying attention to the Orioles schedule I didn't realize The Red Sox are in town. I walked around Camden Yards during lunch and all I saw were people with their Red Sox gear on. It must be Manny Ramirez's birthday because some woman had a "Happy birthday Manny" poster. I almost felt out of place being from Baltimore. It's like I was invading their territory.
