The fact that now there ARE so many places you can't smoke anymore sucks for the smoker but is good for the person trying to quit. Out here they are trying to ban it from people living in apartments/condos altogether. eek

Too, it does help, I guess, at least while you're attempting to quit, to not go places or be with people who do smoke, at least at first.

When I went to Vegas last year with my daughter that was a huge test for me. It had been only about a month since I had quit. My daughter "hated" me smoking which helped me not smoke. But, being in a casino (can you imagine?) and NOT lighting up; Or, having a drink in the lounge and no cigaret frown. Smokers know exactly what I'm talking about.

I remember walking down the strip by myself at one particular point of the trip, and having brought a pack of cigs with me (yes, I considered the fact I may cheat), I pulled one out and lit it, looked at it, put it to my mouth and then tossed it. I didn't look back after that. Everyone has their own method.
