How am I kicking your ass? I don't even follow soccer! Dumb luck I guess... lol

I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol

Why did you tip Austria to beat Croatia mate?

Once the group games are over Geoff the knock out stuff starts....

Half hour extra time and then penalty shoot outs.....

Great fun, lots of grown men blubbering when they miss a penalty lol

P.S. I am 3 out of 4 so far!

1. The players are too stressed - all the fans want to see a win, but each time they fail it takes more of the spirit to win away.

2. Lifestyles - WAGs, alcohol, driving offences, etc.

3. Bad coach?

I didn't say it wouldn't happen, I just thought it'd be silly in playoffs. Ahh well... ohwell But as Yogi says, at least there are no draws starting with the quarter finals...

Sounds daft but Italy did'nt play that badly, they had some good chances, just could'nt score. Holland played well though, even though their first goal was blatantly off side, their next 2 were classics!

Did anyone see the France Romanaia game?

Utter rubbish!

France have so many old men in their team, their average age must be about 90 lol

Holland played brilliantly, they kinda blew Italy away. Italy just couldn't control the game like they mostly do, but Holland did. You could say Holland beat Italy in Azzurri style. smile

The first goal also wasn't offside, since Panucci was still lying on outside of the pitch, behind the back line. As such there were still 2 players in front of Van Nistelrooy (being Buffon and Panucci), making it no offside. Weird, I know, but these are the Uefa rules.

Man of the match: leftback Van Bronckhorst, with Sneijder and Van der Sar as close seconds.

7 out of 10 so far!

Did anyone see the Swiss against Turkey last night in the swimming pool?

What a great game,i love seeing the weather "spoil" the game as such but make it a much better spectacle for the neutral grin

The young lad who scored the winner for Turkey,Arda Turan, is Newcastle's main target!

After that goal last night i bet he's not coming to Tyneside any time soon ohwell wink

Friggin' Portugal mad ...I didn't realize this round was worth 3 pts each! Only Yogi and Chopper picked Germany, and they're now #1 and #2, respectively.

6 matches to go...

Fricking Turkey...

First Croatia scores in the one-to-last minute of overtime.

But then Turkey scores in the last second of the extra time of the overtime.

So a penalty shoot out decides who wins.

2 Croatian youngsters miss (Rakitic and Modric) and then a more experienced guy's kick was stopped by the goal keeper.

Turkey didn't miss one of their penalties so I score no points... mad
