How about 9? That'd already probably take 4 hours...
I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! lol Whaddaya want me to do? Whack a guy? Off a guy? Whack off a guy? --Peter Griffin My DVDs | Facebook | Godfather Filming Locations

My dad got a hole-in-one a couple years ago...I can't even imagine. Okay, I can imagine it. I've done it in video games.

SC, I applaud your almost free week. It's so hard to actually do what you intend when playing golf.
My one big brag is back to back eagles. I was playing on a dog patch, burned out, rock hard course in Pennsylvania. It was the town tournament and my wife's uncle was the mayor. All the nephews and cousins played. It was a beerfest with golf on the side. After about 12 holes I was fairly oiled up. We come to short par 5...maybe 450 yds. I hit a decent drive and it just runs on the dried out fairway. My approach shot goes in a bunker, front of the green. Out of the sand, in the hole, eagle. Next hole, another par 5, going back up the hill. Same thing, good drive and it runs, good approach shot. I'm on a green side hill and I chip it in. Shot a 78 on a par 70 course and didn't win a f'n' thing. Those old Italians and Irishmen didn't want to acknowledge that a Kraut had back to back eagles....but my group knew. Never duplicated, and likely never will.

Off topic, but JL, did you see Little Jimmy on the Gene Simmons roast? Great episode!

I'm up for 18, SC. C'mon east. Leave the Mrs. at home.... you'll get oiled up with me and Geoff and shoot the best round of your life. I played a few Chicagoland courses (back when I was married to my first wife - she was from the Chicago suburbs). I played a few rounds with her cousin, and man-oh-man, it was a wonder we could walk by the end of the 18 holes. We'd play a hole, have a beer, play a hole, have a beer....

Hole-in-one's are easy to come close too, but actually getting the ball into the hole is another story. I've hit the flag a couple of times, and gotten the ball within inches a few others. I've hit the pin once (but the ball bounced off to about 10 feet away) and have never been closer than about three feet. My brother has made three or four holes-in-one.

HEY!!! That's a MAJOR LEAGUE whine!!! Ok, whining will turn to winning. I read the "How to Play" instructions. Now I know if the golfer is in RED, he's not playing. I thought red was good. I've picked my team of wannabees.

Red does mean "stop" or "warning" in many cases

Pretty close for day one. Come on you wannabees!
BTW, I played 9 holes today. First hole, par, second hole, 275 drive, on the green in two, birdie......and the rest is....my usual double, triple, par, bogey, triple......

Don't feel bad, even Tiger and Phil hit them in the rough. They don't lose balls because they ricochet off the gallery's noggins and they have hundreds of people there to find their balls.

No birdies, a couple of pars, and the rest a bunch of crap. I also lost a 1/2 dozen balls. Have played only a handful of times in my life, but that describes it! ...they have hundreds of people there to find their balls. There's a punchline here somewhere... where's SC?
