My middle boy,Andrew,fell over yesterday and smashed his head! He got a massive bump on his bonce and started to throw up repeatedly. Obviously we took him to hospital where he ended up being kept in overnight for observation because he kept on being sick till late last night. We have just got home,and he seems to be ok now.He has a concussion and has to stay off school for a few days. Worrying stuff! A few more grey hairs for the collection

Yogi, that's awful.  I think that's one of the many nightmares for a parent. I wish him well. At least he is home and with his family. My best wishes to him for a speedy recovery. I imagine you and your wife were more scared than he was hu? I would always tend to worry a bit much, but whenever my kids got a very large bump from a fall or whatever, it'd be so scary. We were told to watch for vomiting and don't let them sleep for a while and that's exactly what I did. However, nothing ever close to what you described. Hang in there. TIS
