I'd be interested in knowing whether he'll be charged with vehicular manslaughter.

In July, 2002 there was a violent accident on a 2 lane road a couple miles from my house. A car, containing 5 siblings and cousins (ages 9-18) was on its way to the movies. Another car, driven by a 19 year old with a blood alcohol level twice the legal limit, sped from the opposite direction. It contained several of his buddies.

The drunk youth drove head on into the car. There were 8 fatalities. The only survivor was the drunk. To make the story sadder, the two sets of parents of the kids going to the movies were driving ahead of them and witnessed the crash.

It went down as the deadliest car accident in the county's history. The surviving boy's father days later said it would have been better had his son not survived. He's still serving a sentence and will be for quite some time.

You got it.

Is this a question and answer contest. On what subjects do they quiz you?

The wake for my wife's cousin is tonight. Evidently the body was too badly damaged to allow for an open coffin. The family has received a lot of generous support from families and friends.

Samantha's co-workers will close the store tomorrow during her funeral. They also made shirts to wear in her honor.

Sam's father is a fire fighter. His union donated all the food after the service tomorrow and sent a bunch over to their house. Lots of relatives have stayed with the family to offer comfort these past few days.

Oh, Goombah, I can't imagine what that wake will be like. As a parent, my heart is just breaking at the thought, and I didn't even know her.

God bless, Goombah. I hope and pray that the family finds the strength to go on. Give those babies of yours an extra hug and kiss tonight, OK?

How horribly sad. frown I can only imagine the pain and loss the family is feeling at this time. I pray they find the strength deep inside them a day at a time to get them through their grief.

The wake was awful. While family didn't have to wait, it was a 3 hour line to get in to see the families. It was a dual wake - my wife's cousin and her boyfriend's family agreed to share the service. They're going to be buried next to each other today. I would estimate that close to 4,000 people showed up. It was great support for the family, but it was also so draining for the parents. They greeted mourners from 3 until 11 and really didn't take a break.

I truly do not know how they were able to get through the hell of this week and the weeks to come when things quiet down.

Goombah, that is the worst time, when the furor dies down and they are left alone with that empty room. Oh, I don't know how any parent can even tolerate it. God help them and watch over them.

I ask that you keep my 82 year old Dad in your thoughts and prayers.

Him and his wife got rear ended the other day. They had to take him to the ER he was complaining with his back. Thank God he is ok. He has to see a Chiropractor.

But 2 months ago he fell and broke his pelvic bone. He finally healed from the broken pelvic and now he gets into a car accident and hurts his back. My poor Daddy frown

Mig,

I certainly will keep your dad in my prayers. My own father will be 89 next April and I worry about him and my mom. It doesn't take much to break bones at that age. ohwell

Anyway, I pray for a speedy recovery for your father.

Take care

I'll pray for him Miggy, it will all work out

He - (Simón Bolívar) - was shaken by the overwhelming revelation that the headlong race between his misfortunes and his dreams was at that moment reaching the finishing line. The rest was darkness. "Damn it," He sighed. "How will I ever get out of this labyrinth!"

So what’s the labyrinth?

That’s the mystery isn’t it? Is the labyrinth living or dying? Which is he trying to escape - the world, or, the end of it?

Please keep my Daughter Becky in your thoughts and prayers. Frank just called me and told me that someone from her work took her to the ER. Last night she went to her softball game and got hit in the back of the head. Instead of taking the day off she went to work. I don't know what happened to her at work but that they took her to the ER.

I called the ER all I know she was in x-ray.

Sorry to hear that Mig. I hope she's OK.

They're still playing softball at this time of year? Isn't it too cold for it?

Yeah SC she calls it Fall ball.

UPDATE:

I talked to her on the phone. The ER released her. They said she had a concussion. They did a CT scan to make sure that there was no internal bleeding.

TIS, I gotta tell ya we love Frank to death. When he found out that she went to the ER he closed down his shop.(Manager @ Midas Muffler)and went to be with her. He took her home and he's been taking care of her. He even cooked her dinner.

She got hit with the ball SC. She told me that tonight is the last game for the season. I told her she is grounded and not allowed to go.

Thanks Geoff, I'll tell her.
