The highlight was when that fire fighter looked in the camera and said, "Osama Bin Laden. You can kiss my fat, Irish ass".

I always hoped they would sell a dvd of that and have the proceeds go to victim's families. I would love to have that.

Thats the concert where Paul McCartney rocked the house with Freedom . A very moving concert..

Speaking of Paul McCartney, I heard a news story last week on Dan Abrams show, that Heather Mills (McCartney) said that if she remarries she's definitely going to have a Pre-nup because, (her words -loosely) "after all there are a lot of people who might want to take advantage of her wealth." She oughta know!

Of all accents in English, I only like the American one (it's the one mine resembles most).
I laugh when I hear Scottish and Irish accents, and I just hate the English accent.

I admit, sometimes I have a very hard time understanding the English accent, BUT I know there are many different accents in England, and I don't know what they are, so perhaps it's one or two that I don't understand. Scottish accent too is very unique no?

As far as the Aussie accent goes, yea, it too is kind of neat. There is a nice couple that bring books to our school. They are definitely Aussies living in the US but go back for a couple months every year to Australia. Very nice people. They've shown me beautiful pics of Australia. Otherwise, I can't say I know anybody else from Australia. At least not in my neck of the woods.

Accents vary a lot in the UK. I can actually tell if somebody lives four miles away from me, here; dialects differ from town to town.

Yes, you'll have a grand old time here, although you're probably going to freeze your ass off in February.

I have see this myself. I was traveling in a flight once and the attendant woman came for taking beverage orders. In my row, there was a English guy. When he ordered, the woman asked him if he was from London or Australia and also mentioned that she liked his accent.

Agreed.. Come to Nottingham Enzo and you'll find a lot of comman English speaking people..

We have friends who are from London. They explained to me the difference between Michael Caine's accent and their's. They tell me that they grew up in different neighborhoods and that their accents are very different. However, I can't tell any difference. I'm sure their is one, but to my ignorant American ear, I can't detect it.

It's really the same with Americans. Even within NY, we sound radically different, forget about comparing someone from NY to someone from Kentucky to someone from Texas. It's all different.

OMG Capo, it's great to hear your voice. So deep and distinguised sounding. Now, I don't know your accent, but I had no problem whatsoever understanding you. You should be a tv/radio interviewer or something. Great clip!! Our Capo is growing before our eyes.

Of course here in the US, we got very interested in everything England when the Beatles arrived. I remember however, even at that time, I had to listen closely to understand everything they said, if they were speaking fast, especially.

I know, it's the same here in Belgium. Differences are even so big that people at my side of the country (the east) often can't even understand people from the west (which is like 120 miles away), altough they're actually speaking the same language.

I live 5 minutes from Oakland and I can't understand half of what most of the people there are saying. Ebonics sucks.
