There have been a bunch of bomb-blasts in my hometown today. A pretty low-key affair. The prime minister condemns it, and life is back to normal. Had this happened here in US, all hell would have broken loose. I guess it should be totally demotivating to the terrorists, when no one really cares about it and everyone goes on about their lives as usual. Everyone I know is safe.

yeah, in January this year for a month and will be back again in January next year for less than a month.

What's airport security like over there?

Their gadgets aren't all that high tech like in US. Last year they had big boards displaying "all liquids should be thrown away" or something. My personal kit like shaving cream, tooth paste etc didn't even get detected by the scanner. A guy stands with a hand-held metal detector and does a basic check. But a new international airport has opened a couple of months ago. I guess that one should be high-tech, as lot of money was pumped in making that.
