Does Coppola have a written agreement with Paramount that he is the only one who can produce Godfather sequels? What about M. Puzo? How did he weigh in on the scene before he died? Is Paramount the only studio that has the rights to his books? C where i'm goin w/this? Maybe another producer can get in on the act, or is it just hot air that we hope for some sequels?

Read the Puzo book, but cant remember much about it - are the movies pretty close to the material in the book? It was a HUGE book - took me a long x to get thru it. You are right about Winegardner - no one can do what MPuzo started. He just had a classic, and that's all there is to it. I cant imagine anyone coming along with something better.
