onion.com article about the DL signing Mark Prior to a long term deal. That's great!
I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! lol Whaddaya want me to do? Whack a guy? Off a guy? Whack off a guy? --Peter Griffin My DVDs | Facebook | Godfather Filming Locations

The LF position on my team must be jinxed. Matsui has been on the DL for the last two months and I lost both C-Lee and Crawford this weekend. Soriano should be very, very scared. You traded for Lee and Soriano right? Last year you traded for Chase Utley and he ended up on the DL for a long period of time. I think it's about time we officially call this the "Douche Curse" where you trade for a player and he immediately gets injured (not to be confused with the "TM Curse" where every single player you draft goes on the DL).

You're the Oakland A's - famous for your second half runs to 1st place. Well, The A's are famous for choking in the playoffs. I'm not there yet. JL is tough to gain ground on and GB is matching me consistently each week. FC isn't that far behind either. If JL slumps this could be a very interesting finish!

Here's my Take on the top 4: FC has faded mostly due to some questionable trades, and even more questionable roster management. (not having the full 5 RP's in the lineup everyday?) GB is still a contender. A fairly solid team, with SP games in hand. Bibble's SP is just awesome. Offense at several positions and so-so RP may cost him in the end though. My team solid all around, but my SP is very streaky, and injuries have been mounting on a daily basis. Guys I picked up on the waiver wire to fill in have done an unbelievable job, but will it continue? My RP was by far the best in the league earlier in the season, but now I'm down to one healthy legitimate closer. I'm just trying to hold on.

Thanks for not giving your take on #7 -- but the biggest shocker of the season?? DB at #8!

Actuallly BL, in the "TM Curse" only your top draft picks get injured, not them all 5 of my top 10 picks stayed significant time on the DL and I'm not including Curtis Granderson who spent the 1st entire month there. I believe you all have way more experience than me in this kind of game, but looking at our draft it looks like none of us is an expert. in my case I rate my work that day at Z. if we can keep this league going for a few years we'll do a much better job in the future. I believe the best sleeper has to be Josh Hamilton with the 151st pick!
