The way things used to be:
'Have you seen the new cars coming out next year? It won't be long before $2, 000.00 will only buy a used one.'
'If cigarettes keep going up in price, I'm going to quit. A quarter a pack is ridiculous.
'Did you hear the post office is thinking about charging a dime just to mail a letter?'
'If they raise the minimum wage to $1.00, nobody will be able to hire outside help at the store.'
'When I first started driving, who would have thought gas would someday cost 29 cents a gallon. Guess we'd be better off leaving the car in the garage.'
'Kids today are impossible. Those duck tail hair cuts make it impossible to stay groomed. Next thing you know, boys will be wearing their hair as long as the girls.' 'I'm afraid to send my kids to the movies any more. Ever since they let Clark Gable get by with saying DAMN in GONE WITH THE WIND, it seems every new movie has either HELL of DAMN in it.' 'I read the other day where some scientist thinks it's possible to put a man on the moon by the end of the century. They even have some fellows they call astronauts preparing for it down in Texas .' 'Did you see where some baseball player just signed a contract for $75,000 a year just to play ball? It wouldn't surprise me if someday they'll be making more than the President.'
'I never thought I'd see the day all our kitchen appliances would be electric. They are even making electric typewriters now.'
'It's too bad things are so tough nowadays. I see where a few married women have to work to make ends meet.'
'It won't be long before young couples are going to have to hire someone to watch their kids so they can both work.' 'Marriage doesn't mean a thing any more, those Hollywood stars seem to be getting divorced at the drop of a hat.'
"Generosity. That was my first mistake." "Experience must be our only guide; reason may mislead us." "Instagram is Twitter for people who can't read."

A reporter without a heart would ask a question like that.
"Somebody told me when the bomb hits, everybody in a two mile radius will be instantly sublimated, but if you lay face down on the ground for some time, avoiding the residual ripples of heat, you might survive, permanently fucked up and twisted like you're always underwater refracted. But if you do go gas, there's nothing you can do if the air that was once you is mingled and mashed with the kicked up molecules of the enemy's former body. Big-kid-tested, motherf--ker approved."

A reporter without a heart would ask a question like that. I must've missed the joke... please explain...
I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! lol Whaddaya want me to do? Whack a guy? Off a guy? Whack off a guy? --Peter Griffin My DVDs | Facebook | Godfather Filming Locations

I'm sure the reporter just wanted to extract some emotion from the parent in recalling why she'd be missed. It wasn't asked like "what's so special about YOUR kid?" but it still sounded just wrong.

I tried to get tickets to see my fav band OASIS on Wednesday but they sold out in 1 hour. I was gutted i already to book the tickets and i couldn't even get one,at 9am the they went on sale and all the arenas were sold our straight away. Sing a sad song In a lonely place Try to put a word in for me It’s been so long Since I found this place You better put in two or three We as people, are just walking ’round Our heads are firmly fixed in the ground What we don’t see Well it can’t be real What we don’t touch we cannot feel
Long as I remember The rain been coming down. Clouds of Mystery pouring Confusion on the ground. Good men through the ages, Trying to find the sun; And I wonder, Still I wonder, Who'll stop the rain.

Quit my job, off to see The Dark Knight in IMAX and have a nice dinner with my wife that we can't afford. We all need the outing from time to time LN. I call it therapy. TIS

What was your job LN that you could quit on a saturday? It's funny, I was just telling my girlfriend last night that I was one A-hole away from quitting my job yesterday. Thankfully I didn't, but I know the feeling well.
EDIT: We still can't afford our dinner for tonight.
