Wow, how soon they turn on Donnie Baseball. It's funny that a reference to Stevie Swindal's drunken escapade behind the wheel at 2 AM (I didn't even mention the alleged mistress) that coincided with his divorce brought a reprimand of "everyone makes mistakes."
To answer your inquiry, I can not explain the steps to Mattingly's preparation to make the playoffs, but I would suppose it would resemble those of similarly situated hitting coaches in mlb.
