Man, I would if I could, but a 119.6 mile drive is a bit outta the question for some pizza I don't know? I would come the 4,000 miles or so for a slice of pizza And I'd pay for it, Yogi! But no warm beer for you. On this side of the pond, we drink it cold.

If you like watching free new movies from home check out www.ahvideoz.comI just finished watching that new Righteous Kill one. I just don't know if I'd feel right without paying $9 for a ticket and then popcorn and a drink.... Maybe I can gouge myself and it'll feel right. Whoa, Lots of porn links and images, so NOT SAFE FOR WORK.

So, I had shooting pain in my tooth/neck/shoulder from 8:30PM last night (during the movie and 1+ hour drive home), thru the night when I couldn't sleep and took a Tylenol #3 (w/codeine) at around 4:30AM and finally got a couple hours sleep despite that not really helping at all. Had to go to the orthopedist today for my neck/shoulder (he prescribed some physical therapy and anti-inflamatories), with my tooth/neck still throbbing. That was 15 hrs worth, so I decided to give it a shot and schedule the root canal for as soon as possible. The endodontist saw my pain and took me w/in 15 minutes!! She started the root canal to get rid of my pain, wrote me 3 scripts, and I have to get it finished next week. At least the pain has subsided! Wish I had this done 3 weeks ago when I got the script for the root canal -- I'd've enjoyed the movie last night a bit more. People, please take care of your teeth! Another $1200 or so I don't have on the AmEx when this 1 tooth is done, and there's plenty more to do....

Babe, I had one done 2.5 years ago by the same Dr, and she was fabulous! Hardly noticed it much at all. This time, however, it was really bad in spots. BUT, a few minutes of added pain is SO worth eliminating ALL the pain! ...the biggest pain now will be in my wallet!

I took a guess at the price -- it probably will be more in the end. The root canal itself is gonna be $1055 (plus interest lol), but then it needs to be capped or whatever. I guess I estimated it too low! lol The last one I never got capped and after 1.5 years it broke in half (I guess that's why they call it a "temporary filling" ), and now it has to be removed eventually. If I had the money I'd just get implants and end this madness!

I don't know if Geoff has insurance, but a lot of people don't, and either way it's expensive.

No, I don't have dental insurance, unfortunately. Any ideas for someone who works for himself?

Hell, dental is one of the things that many companies, even those that offer benefits, have done away with. My former company didn't offer it, and now I, too, am self-employed. Luckily, Mr. Babe has good benefits!
There's an idea, JG! Find some chick that has benefits and needs to marry a citizen to stay in the country! It will be a match made in heaven!

Merriam-Webster's Word of the Day for September 25, 2008 is... consigliere • \kohn-sil-YEH-reh\ • noun : counselor, adviser
Example Sentence: After years of being a consigliere to the CEOs of Silicon Valley's top giants, Norman has decided to break out and head his own high-tech enterprise.
Did you know? If you're a fan of The Godfather series of movies, the character Tom Hagen may have already come to mind. Hagen, the Corleones' family lawyer, was famously dismissed by the Don's successor and son Michael Corleone because he was not a "wartime consigliere." The word "consigliere" comes from Italian and has been a part our language since 1615; it was originally used of someone who served on a council in Italy. Currently, it is most commonly used to designate advisers to the Mafia -- a use that first appeared in English in a document from a 1963 session of the U.S. Senate. It is also often used generally of a political or financial adviser, or any other trusted adviser for that matter.
