That's hard to answer. I like many of his films, although I admit I havent' seen much of his more recent work.

I really liked Butch Cassidy & I liked The Sting; I remember seeing Torn Curtain when it came out, and although I don't think it was one of his more popular movies, I liked it. Gosh, some of these movies I have seen only once (The Sting for instance). One that really sticks out for me is "Cool Hand Luke." I still remember working at my dad's dry cleaners on Saturdays, and the radio would be going all day. I'd hear the commercial for that film would come on with the phrase "What we have here is a failure to communicate." I have the actor's face in my head, but don't know his name. I am sure SC does though. I also remember the ads for Hombre, which wa a good movie too.

All that being said, I must admit I really like the more "soapy" ones. You know Tennesee Williams, "Cat On A Hot Tin Roof" and "The Long Hot Summer.". In the end, I don't know if I can pick a favorite AND I am sure I am forgetting so many more that are worth mentioning. What talented and gifted actor Paul Newman was.
