Strother Martin.

If I rated some of his movies as MUST SEES, I'd include "Cool Hand Luke" with "The Hustler" (possibly one of the greatest dramatic characerizations ever), "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" with Elizabeth Taylor as his unloved wife - a truly WONDERFUL movie about a dysfunctional family and of redemption, "Hud" (Newman played a fairly despicable charatcer but you felt for him) and "The Verdict" (a lawyer past his prime gets a case that could restore his life).
